I listen to those stories about Spanish Johnny, Rosey and Billy nearly every day at work on my iPod. Side 2 of WIESS would be very sweet indeed!!!
I saw Elton John a year or two ago and he did the Capt Fantastic album, then he did his regular show.

Got to get on the road--driving 6 hours today but just a little report very quickly....
I was lucky to get into the pit--2nd row right by the big man---great experience. Although briefly, i got a chance to talk to one of the original Cleveland boys. Will report more on that later. I also saw Mark Shapiro, the GM of the Cleveland Indians in the pit also. The pit was very small--no one on top of you--no one sweating --it was unique but i couldn't help wonder why at least another 100 people or so weren't allowed in. Obviously, i felt fortunate but i still was thinking about all of the other folks. I'm sure someone will do a review of their concert experience....more later.

There for U2 2 years ago in GA and Metallica, I don't know why they limit the pit area. Cleveland on the U2 by far had one of the smallest if not the smallest ellipse set up. You could have gone to the soundboard and there was like 100 feet of empty space in front of the soundboard. I was not there in Cleveland last night even though I thought about getting a ticket. Cleveland has one of the biggest arena floors to hold any type of setup and still limit the floor for some unknown reason.

...I would think that just about anywhere in Ohio might be a little gun-shy about any general admission concert seating since the horrible event of 1979. They may have stricter regulations than a lot of other places.

Well I'm back in Colorado after my two show trip (I'm really not much of a traveler) anyway it was good to meet up with Ohio Boss, Lonely Valentine and Crazy Janey at Wilberts, Denna sorry I missed you.
My group were 13-16th people in line for the pit and when we got in both the left side and center were filled with people, where did they come from? I was up against the stage in front of Patty and Steve, hey it was only my second time in the pit and I wanted my elbows on the stage once in my life. What a friggn blast that show was and my trip too, Incident, Saint and Kitty WOW!!
A note on the Birthday Grandmother in Minneapolis, her name is Jane and she turned 83 Friday night not 86 as Bruce said before "Girls". She was on my flight to Cleveland from Minnesota and she has gone on to Detroit as well, hope I have half her vitality when I'm 83. I spoke with her and her daughter in line for the pit in Cleveland (she didn't get in her # was in the 200's). I guess she and her daughter are pretty well known in the Minneapolis Bruce community. Speaking of Bruce people I met a number of great fans in both cities, that's what happens when you approach strangers and ask are you Hank? but not as many Ld'ers as I had hoped to, next time.

I was at Wilbert's until about 5, but only saw For You (Sandy), Melissa, and truebrucefan (Audrey). Sorry I missed everyone else! I was number #500, so had no hope of being in the pit. I decided to just hang back by the soundboard and was groovin' all by myself. During Gypsy Biker, I felt someone come up and stand right next to me. Jerry Fox! He asked if I were alone, and I said "Yes." He slipped a pit wristband on me and off I went to the stage! I was 2 or 3 people in front of Patti. YAY! MIB's are back in business.
A great night, too, and Bruce was smokin' on Kitty's Back.

Nov 5th, 2007, 08:35 PM
Shoot, Andrew, I was just so happy to be MIB'd. I don't think that's ever happened to me before. (Has it? You remember all that stuff better than me).
Besides, Sandy spent some quality time with Patti yesterday, so she had all the real opportunities to ask tour questions. Kentucky was the answer about a tour in the south, so I'm guessin that's Louisville.

OMFG. Now thats the true sign of a Bruce tramp.
Good luck with removing it L.
Have you researched how you will get it removed?
Theres a non surgical procedure where you sit in a huge tub of warm water and the stone is zapped into tiny pieces that you excrete.
I hope you have a speedy recovery

HEY Everybody! I had lots of fun talking and meeting people at Wilburts. I wish I had met all of you. Sandy and Kathy had a great time seeing you again- hope we can do it again soon! Also- MO- What a story!! That is awesome how you got in the pit!
Our numbers were 168 and 169 so we were about 3 rows deep behind the pit- I was disappointed but it worked out okay. For the first hour I stood in front of, I swear, the TALLEST man I have ever seen- but for some reason he left after the first hour, then I could see fine. I hope they do come to KY, but I think I am through with GA!

MagicRat says, Why No Midwest Reviews?
I guess I haven’t written a review because it takes me about a week to recover from a Bruce extravaganza. Well, that and the fact that I think others say it better. But, here’s my simplistic review.
The show:
It was fabulous! Indeed Cleveland rocks! Although, I haven’t been to any other shows this tour, so I can’t compare. I thought the crowd was great--- Most standing and singing. I don’t think I‘ve witnessed the extended oh, oh, oh, ohing so much after Badlands until the encore. ---and again at the end. It almost seemed like we’d get one more.
I think it is interesting that Backstreets noted: Every E Street album was represented in the show tonight with the exception of The River -- and if you count River-era B-side "Be True," which had its tour premiere, it was a sweep. Bruce referenced the Lynn Goldsmith photography exhibit down the road at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame: "I hope they don't have pictures of me with my pants down!" In the crowd: The Raspberries' Eric Carmen, and retired longtime Plain Dealer rock critic (and huge Springsteen fan) Jane Scott.----funny before the show, we were trying to figure out if she was dead or not. When asked “Is she dead?” Lonely Valentine replied: “No, but she should be” --tickled us, all in fun.
The sound was good, I thought. There are some jaw dropping guitar solos, one during Hard to be a Saint and another during Tunnel of Love. Kitty’s Back is so jazzy. I think Bruce’s voice sounds better than the last two tours. Clarence was in great form. I’ve really noticed Garry’s playing on this cd and he works hard during the show--adds a lot to it. The songs seem a little fast and very quickly go from one to another. It feeds the E Street soul and I think it gives you that “grow young again” feeling.
They had 2 huge long screen panels a little in front of the other screens. Kinda spooky seeing 7 feet tall Bruce and Patti floating up there.
On the GA system:
Wonderful if you end up in the pit, or in the front of the area behind the pit. But, if you are shorter, like me, it is really hard to see otherwise. There were only 250 people out of 2000 GAs sold in the pit.

Random notes: We were roaming around the mall/hotel area when we saw a few tour buses. Our hearts quickened. Then, we saw a roped off area with some fans looking like they were waiting to get stuff signed. Our hearts quickened a bit more. But alas, it was just the Seattle Seahawks arriving. I didn't think they'd want to sign my Born to Run album cover.
We shopped a bit with Patti, (well, she was in the same store). She was buying cards and such. The guy at the register kept offering her discounts: you’ve bought so many, you get 2 free. “That’s o.k.” she says. She was very nice and I told her they need to come to Kentucky. The seed is planted. . . . . I didn't think she'd want to sign my Born to Run album cover either.
On Sunday morning, we had breakfast with Scott Hamilton (figure skater), (well, he was in the same room). I didn’t think he’d want to sign my Born to Run album cover either.
The only person who would want to sign my Born to Run album cover missed me by 30 minutes, so I’ve heard. sigh…… maybe in Kentucky.
On the Camaraderie:
It was a treat for the tri state tramps (that sounds bad, we’re still working on a name) to get together. I enjoyed meeting a bunch of others. The GA system sometimes limits the time you can mingle---:( Bruce is sometimes just icing on the cake.
