The tour premeire of Out In The Street! I didn't think of it as one I really want, but I always love it when I get it, like this morning when I turned on the car, and the dial was at 91.9. It took about a half-second to crank that muthuh up, and I was rockin.:music:

The occasion, according to the DJ, was on this date in 1980 the River reached #1 on the album charts. I didn't realize the River got to the top spot. I always thought BITUSA produced the first number one hits for Bruce.

I'm ready for the uh-ohs. Meet me out in the street little girl tonight!

BIUSA produced the first # 1 singles.

While the album The River may have reached # 1 the highest a single reached was #10 for Hungry Heart - Bruce's first Top 10 Hit.

I was never a huge fan of Out in The Street - but it sure sounded good in Asbury Park on a cold March night in 1999. It has sort of found a way into my heart ever since.

2 years ago - D&D tour hit the Spectrum in Philly. And we had a little "Incident".

Maybe OITS premieres Sunday in DC. I have drunken uh-ohs ready.

I think Bruce has never had a number one single(that Bruce recorded AND released), correct ?

I think you are right. I thought at least one single off BIUSA went to #1 but it looks like only HH and Streets of Philadelphia made the top 10.

When Doves Cry kept Dancing In The Dark out of the top spot back in '84.
