Anyone else get this one yet?

I came across a copy and at first listen I am sort of disappointed.
Especially since the CD has twenty cuts.
One of the songs reminds me of Steely Dan...I think it's "Last Good Time In Town" on disc two.

I think there are some classic cuts.
For instance, the Title track "Long Road Out Of Eden" is great and I like "Somebody" also.

I should say I have never been a big Eagles fan but I was curious to hear the new one.

I'll give it another listen pretty soon and see if my opinion changes.

To be honest, I can't stop listening to Marc Cohn's CD.
I see he is going to be in california the first part of december.

I don't trust Don Henly anymore. He seems like the Devil.

I haven't picked up the new Eagles yet, but probably will at some point. I was never a huge Eagles fan, but I really liked The Long Run back in the day. The first single "How Long" from this new one is pretty good too. Sounds exactly like the Eagles.

I do have a bit of an issue with the whole exclusive Walmart distribution model thingy (I don't like how they are putting a further squeeze on smaller independent record stores), so I will likely wait until I can pick up a used copy for 7 or 8 bucks.

Interestingly though, I did read the album was the #1 bestseller this past week, easily crushing the ongoing train wreck otherwise known as Brittney Spears. Maybe there is a bit of sanity in the world after all...lol

New Eagles Is All Springsteen Has Been Listening To.
Sold 771,000 Copies In First Week Although Bruce's Good Buddy Don Henley Probably Gave Him It For Free.
