Since Magic first came out I have played it in my car constantly - thus my four year old son has had a lot of exposure to the songs on this album. One of my son's favorite songs off the album is Radio Nowhere. He often requests this song when we are in the car and asks that it be played over and over again.

My son also likes to sing and dance a lot and will often burst into song anytime anywhere. We were recently shopping at the mall and right in the middle of Target he starts belting out the chorus to Radio Nowhere! He also sings this song at home while playing along on his drum set.

Now the cute part of the story........having sung this song a number of times, my son one day decided that it was time to rewrite the chorus and, all on his own, came up with the following version.......

This is radio nowhere, is there anybody alive out there?
This is radio nowhere, is there anybody alive out there?
Is there anybody alive out there?

I just want to eat your cookies
I just want to eat your cookies.....

Spoken (or rather sung) like a true four year old!!!

Future songwriter maybe one day? Gotta save up to get him a kick@$$ telecaster and a marshall DSL100 stack.

Great story.....my son is 8 and he still does a version of this. He writes his own songs using Bruce inspited lyrics, some direct rip-offs but others with more subtle inspiration.

A recent line he wrote in one of his songs was "the girls wear their short sleeve shirts".

More subtle are some of his song titles:

Rockin Town, The World is Down, and Misty Train.

He has album art, showing two crossed swords, sort of like a coat of arms, with an arrow through a heart next to it.

He has 12 tracks listed on the cover and has written 5 songs so far.

All he needs is a band now.;) :D :) :music:
