I heard a song on the radio today that made me think of all the stupid or nonsensical lyrics that have been part of big hit songs.
Let's torture ourselves with some of these little tidbits of inanity...
"Guilty feet have got no rhythm!'
"Send your camel to bed"
"the ocean is a desert with its life underground, and the perfect disguise above..."
Jeez...

I Don't like you, and I'm gonna beat you up!
Beans, beans, beans
Jessie had some beans
He was happy, happy, happy
And he ate some beans
Naked, naked, naked
Sitting cross-legged
Naked, naked, naked
And he was happy, happy, happy
And he ate some beans
Wine, wine, wine
Jessie had some wine
He was happy, happy, happy
And he ate some wine
Beans, beans, beans
Jessie ate some beans
And he drank some wine
And he was happy, happy, happy
As he drank some beans

maybe he was trying to decide if any of his songs qualify (madman drummers bummers and Indians in the summer with a teenage diplomat)????

This may (or may not) qualify as "nonsensical lyrics" but for years I thought the lyrics from the SAT. NITE FEVER Soundtrack song "More Than A Woman" were.....
BALD HEADED WOMAN
Can't explain why, I didn't even like the song, but everytime it was on the radio or the movie was on TV, I was singing...."Bald Headed Woman, Bald Headed Woman to me".......
Yeah, I know it makes no sense, but I'm sure we all have a "lyric or 2" that we've misunderstood.....
Ha.....:D

Those of you from the Philadelphia area might remember Harvey in the morning on Q102 before it went to whatever lame format it has now.....he used to do a segment called "misconstrued lyrics" where people would call up and admit to the lyrics they had gotten wrong. I don't remember many of them, but the ones I DO know are classics:
"I'm gonna harden my heart, I'm gonna swallow my cheese....."
"What a feeling..........take your pants down, and make it happen."
And, the piece de resistance, Steve Miller's "Big old Jed in a lineup."

"there's the bathroom on the right"
(I think we even had a thread discussing whether or not Bruce and John Fogery sang that on purpose during one verse during the VFC show at CAA :) ).
