I plan on parking at the Vienna Metro station on Sunday, taking the metro into DC and then picking up my car on Tuesday morning. Weekends and Holidays are free parking.
But, does anyone know if there is a problem with parking OVER 24 hours at Vienna? I have not been able to find the answer on their website. Especially since it is a weekend/holiday I would not think it a problem but I don't want to come back to a towed car or fine.

Has anyone parked multiple days before?

I believe the rule is that there is NO parking over 24 hours at any metro station whether it be vienna or franconia so I would honestly not expect you car to still be there on tuesday.

I used to commute into town from vienna and that was certainly the rule then

I didn't see anything on their site about parking time limits...I had my car there for 2 days & it was still there...

There are probably spots marked for extended parking, just park in one of them & you should be okay.

Well, after looking further at their site...I did see there were 3 stations with "multiple day parking" -Greenbelt, Huntington and Franconia-Springfield...
I called customer service to see if I could find out any info since my car's been parked for several days...She clearly was not a happy camper to be working a holiday weekend and pretty much assured me my car was most likely towed and that I should have read the website more thoroughly and didn't I know if they allowed multi-day parking...EVERYONE would park there...(Hmmm...novel idea...encouraging people to use mass transit and all)...
So between Andrew's post and the "more than helpful" metro lady...I hopped the train to see if my car was still there after several days instead of finding out Monday night at closing, that it wasn't...Luckily it was...And, since the 3 day weekend is free...it's highly unlikely they'd be towing anyone...
Now, that's the Shady Grove station...I have no idea about how stringent other stations are...

There is mutliple day parking the the Franconia stop. But, not that may spots...I think 15-17?

I think that you would probably alright at any metro lot but I have decided to drive in to DC since parking shouldn't be a problem on this weekend/holiday.

I leave in 45minutes!
