Now on Sirius 102!

This is all about protecting children. We know Dave Marsh from his work in
the world of music. But he walked in another world, a more dangerous one. He
came out of it and he stood up:

From www.vachss.com:

Dave Marsh is a renowned music critic. He founded Creem magazine, has written
columns for Newsday, The Village Voice, and Rolling Stone, and has written
more than twenty books, including biographies of Bruce Springsteen, The Who,
Bob Dylan, and Elvis Presley. Mr. Marsh is also the host of Sirius Satellite
Radio's Kick Out the Jams (Channel 102). He recently interviewed Andrew
Vachss for that show—and you can click here to hear a four-minute preview of
that show. The interview went longer than expected, so much so that Mr. Marsh
will devote his entire two-hour show to it, on SUNDAY, November 11, from 10am
- 12pm Eastern Standard Time. To access that show, you need to have access to
Sirius. If your neighborhood pub doesn't have it, and you don't already have
it, the fine folks at Sirius are offering a free three-day trial, allowing
you to listen online if you register on November 9 or 10. So figure out how
you plan to link up to this broadcast event, and prepare to be on Sirius
Channel 102 on Sunday, November 11, from 10am - 12pm Eastern!

From www.protect.org:

When it comes to stripping away the feel-good rhetoric and getting right down
to the bottom line about protecting kids, no American alive does it better
than attorney and author Andrew Vachss. Whether he's in a courtroom or a
barroom, Vachss is the Muhammed Ali of giving it to 'em straight. And we're
proud to say that as a founding member of PROTECT, Vachss never speaks in
public without telling his audience how to make a difference.

Think we're hyping? Take one minute, listen to the audio and put a smile on
your face. Vachss, who has just published a powerful new novel in his Burke
series, Terminal, was recently interviewed by famed rock and roll writer Dave
Marsh. Here's some of what he had to say: "People say, '...children don't
vote.' And I always say, 'Look, moron, .357 magnums don't vote, but they seem
well-represented in Congress, right?... So, leave that stupid argument alone.
What happens is kids don't have lobbyists."

Then Vachss explains the answer, saying anybody serious can type a few
keystrokes and go to protect.org. "That's it. They can find a lobby, not a
charity. It's not a celeb cause. It's not a 501©(3). You will not even get
a tax deduction. It's just like the NRA. You join as a member."

Two hours on Sirius. ON NOW. Don't miss it.
