Well, I was with Sandy and Patti (and Deena and Di) and was the one that mentioned that they should come to KY. She just smiled and said, "yes, we should."
---So, does that mean yes according to your crystal ball?

I've gathered you are from Wales. Do they have the term "beating around the bush"?
Sandy is usually very reliable. I think her account maybe was a little confusing. Besides she had to find a dang silver pen at the time.

I just love telling the story about card-shopping with Patti....that sales guy was so perplexed, I don't think he knew who Patty was or what was going on when Sandy was getting her cd signed. What a hoot! And, I can't believe he didn't have a silver pen, but Sandy was able to perform her "magic" and pull one out of her bag.
Andrew, Kathy was the one that asked about the show in Kentucky and Patti said yes, they like Kentucky. I'm sure they will be somewhere in Kentucky...least I'm hoping....
Kathy....Atlanta is pretty close......5 to 7 hours, maybe? Sounds like another show for the tri-state tramps. :) I'm having withdrawal and am jealous of Sandy going to DC without us. :)

Not only Bruce, but the 2008 Car Show will be wrapping up that Sunday and the Tour de Georgia bike race will be coming through town. The route for that won't be on the website until tomorrow, so I don't know when/where it will be ending - - let's hope it's not Centennial Olympic Park and it goes down to Turner Field for the end. With the car show in town, parking spaces will be at a premium and restaurants near the venue will be crowded. It will be tough to find a place to do a pre-show unless we go more than 4 or 5 blocks away from the venue. I'll have to think this one through a little bit and come up with some suggestions.
And, if anyone is planning to see the Aquarium while you are here - you need to make a reservation/pick an entry time, to do so, so do that in advance if you don't want to get shut out. Also, our baby Panda, Mei Lan will be a little over a year and a half old at that point, if you'd like to see her. You can buy discounted tickets to both of those on the Aquarium's website.
Your Tour Director signing off for now. More to come later. And, if you've never been to Atlanta in April - - it's probably the best time of the year (before the pollen and the humidity get out of control).

...the Peachtree Road Race is on the 4th of July and the Atlanta Marathon is next week Thursday - - always on Thanksgiving. No big road races that weekend in April that I'm aware of yet.

I think she is talking about the newest marathon in Hotlanta...the ING marathon, but it is at the end of March, not the end of April. I'm already DEEP in training for that.
By training, I mean I'm practicing my fluid intake regularly, of course...what did you THINK I meant??

....just the mental image of you in a pair of running shorts, with a little white terry cloth headband on your head and your little white wife-beater t-shirt with a number pinned onto it........is just too much for me to try and get through with a straight face   . Good luck with that fluid intake thing you got going on there. J

No not bitter, but the sound quality on magic is horrid. Sounds like a bunch of mp3s.

aaaggghhh!!!!! we're supposed to be in Greece.
Kathy and Deena...the way I remember the Patti powwow was that I was talking about her touring behind her album and how this always seemed to happen to her with her "other" job. We were talking about her tour and that she hoped to do a short tour after the first leg of this one and I said are you coming South and she said she would love to but didn't know yet. Then we were talking E St. when you said how about Kentucky and she said yes we're coming back to Kentucky, it's been a long time since we've been there. Of course I could have heard it wrong with all the pressure of finding the silver pen :-)

Sandy....Greece can wait, can't it? :)
about the road races, I thought I had read in Runner's World mag that there was a Peachtree Marathon, or maybe it used to be one...I can't remember everything I read these days as there is too little time to digest much what with the tour going on.....I didn't mean to step on any toes by putting the wrong name out there. :)

There's a Peachtree 10K on July 4. Also 2008 will be the second year for the ING Georgia Marathon which is in Atlanta at the end of March.
