I keep being told that he was not impeached. Which, I would put all the money in the world on, but the fact that people keep teling me im wrong makes me slightly unsure. I know he wasnt removed or anything, but he was impeached wasn't he?

Yes, he was impeached, but acquitted at trial.

In 1998, as a result of issues surrounding personal indiscretions with a young woman White House intern, Clinton was the second U.S. president to be impeached by the House of Representatives. He was tried in the Senate and found not guilty of the charges brought against him. He apologized to the nation for his actions and continued to have unprecedented popular approval ratings for his job as president.

Many people mistakenly believe that impeachment = removal from office, when in fact it is only an accusation, much like a private citizen being indicted and held over for trial.
The House votes on the accusation, while the Senate tries the case.
No President has ever been removed from office through impeachment (only because Nixon ran rather than face the accusations).

Article 1, Section 2, Clause 5 states: "The House of Representatives shall choose their Speaker and other officers; and shall have the sole power of impeachment."
Article 1, Section 3, Clauses 6 and 7 state: (6) "The Senate shall have the sole power to try all impeachments. When sitting for that purpose, they shall be on oath or affirmation. When the President of the United States is tried, the Chief Justice shall preside: and no person shall be convicted without the concurrence of two-thirds of the members present."
(7) "Judgement in cases of impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any office of honor, trust, or profit under the United States: but the party convicted shall nevertheless be liable and subject to indictment, trial, judgement and punishment, according to law."

I still say his impeachment was stupid. I think Bush has done WAY more impeachable offenses.

Absolutely. But Bush had the majority in Congress for most of his term, and if the Dems try it now, it looks like revenge and could hurt them for next year. It also makes it impossible for them to move on any legislation whatsoever.
History will be the real judge. The only problem is the number of lives lost because of his stupidity and his friends' greed.
