Britney Spears made a name for herself as a happy, wholesome pop star who was saving herself for marriage.
But lawyer Eric Ervin, who worked with Spears as a teenager, tells Us Weekly in its new cover story that the "virgin" image Spears portrayed was, in his words, a "PR blitz." In fact, Us reports in its new issue that Spears lost her virginity at 14 to boyfriend Reg Jones, and that she and Justin Timberlake were intimate from the beginning.
Something Spears also kept secret: Her family's tragic history.
Us has learned that Spears' paternal grandmother, Emma Jean Spears, in June 1966 committed suicide at age 31. Britney's grandmother, who suffered from depression, shot herself in the chest with a shotgun at the grave of her infant son who had died eight years earlier just three days after being born.
A local newspaper article obtained by Us reported at the time: "The shotgun had been pressed against the woman's chest and she apparently pulled the trigger with a toe of the right foot from which a shoe had been removed." The newspaper reported that Emma Jean had attempted suicide three times before.
Emma Jean Spears left behind four other children, including Britney's father, Jamie Spears, then an eighth grader. Two of Jamie Spears' brothers ended up with criminal records and homeless.

I think this guy is pretty sleazy for revealing such personal details. If Britney and her family wanted the public to know about this they would tell us themselves.

Cashing in on Britney like this. How low can you get? :noway:

In fact, Us reports in its new issue that Spears lost her virginity at 14 to boyfriend Reg JonesNow this is going to far. Both Brit's lawyer and Us Weekley are sleazy. The lawyer for telling and Us Weekly, and Us Weekly for telling the country. You don't announce someone else's personal information like that.
jade.

So what if she had sex when she was 14? Many teens are sexually active at that age.
The most amusing part of this "revelation" is that finally some people have to admit that the "all american sweetheart" image was manufactured through and through.

^ "So what"? Are you serious? That's quite a problem.

"So what", because it is reality in today's world. Britney is not the first 14-year-old to have sex. There are much younger sexually active teens out there. It doesn't make it right, since many teens at that age are really immature, but it doesn't make it "over the top scandalous" either.

Much younger? Any younger and we're leaving teen and crossing into children. >.< What a world.
But yes, I do see what you're saying. Excuse me for that.

When I was in 7th grade, a girl in my class had a baby.. She gave her up for adoption because she was only 12..
I think not too long after graduation she had another child.. I think she has about 3 kids now..

I don't give a Dayum what he was saying. Get a life. She was 14. If this is true, we all make mistakes.

wait...so did brit actually tell her lawyer this? and for what reason? why would you need to tell your lawyer when you lost your virginity? how would he have known her "innocent" image was all a farce? did she tell him?

wait for the abortion clinic to report she also had an abortion. I'd be shocked if she didn't have more than 1

I know she brings a lot of this on herself, but it was wrong for the lawyer to report this story, and it was wrong for US weekly to publish it. All she can do is get her sh.it together, but it seems like she loves the attention too much to give it up for a healthy, clean life.

Post a video that shows her enjoying the attention she gets. There is none. She doesn't care about the attention. Until she has shown to be enjoying the attention it shouldn't be said that she does.

It's so stupid, all this fascination about a celebrity's sex life. So what she lost her virginity at 14, big deal.

At least Reg didn't sell her out.. Years ago they asked him about their "sex" life and he said no, they did not..
Maybe they did, maybe they didn't.. But if they did, at least Reg was decent enough not to say "Oh yeah we screwed all the time.." Even in this US weekly, I bought it, he still doesn't say anything about them having sex..

Ya know this stuff is really sad. I mean I kinda wish the media would just stop. I am not even really a Britney fan but if they don't start leaving her alone she could end up like Anna Nicole Smith and I would hate to see that.
