In an interview with the Independent (http://news.independent.co.uk/people/profiles/article3204069.ece), director, writer and producer Billy Corben spoke about a phone call he once received from Janet.
After being asked what was the most surprising thing that has happened to him, Corben responded, "Janet Jackson called; she is a big fan of our movie. I was like, 'why the hell would Janet Jackson be calling me?' She was a sweeheart; I was awestruck."
Corben's first film, "Raw Deal: A Question of Consent (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0239879/)," was released in 2001. His second film, "Cocaine Cowboys (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0380268/)," was released last year and just came out in the UK.
