He is one of the best players of all-time in tennis. Not as great as Pete Sampras

No. Everything he knows about tennis he's learnt from the books. He's like a robot, in difficult situations he can't improvise. When he finds someone against whom he cannot play his own game (see Nadal), he doesn't know what changes to apply to keep up with them.

Even thou I never really post here, I LOVE tennis. And today, Nadal proved Federer is not invincible. It was an amazing match, and I'm glad Nadal won. He deserved it.

And I agree with J.J. Federer doesn't know how to improvise.

I think Federer wouldn't even have made it to the final if Safin had had a different mindset for the semifinal match. He can play much better than the swiss when he wants to. Too bad he is so inconstant and has the shortest attention span I've ever seen. lol

I don't watch many of Federer's matches, because I always say he bores me. He has since he started to win all the time. I mean, he has some great matches, but I'm bored of him. I'm not much of a Nadal fan either, but lately Mens' tennis has bored me.
Although I'm watching Wimbledon right now, on ESPN classics since my dvr cut it off yesterday, pretty good match.

I dont believe that either, I think Federer would have still smashed him even if he was trying.
