http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff37/batboy25/1.jpgAfter meeting Janet Jackson on stage, I was invited to guest star on MTV's reality game show 'Who Knows the Band' but unfortunately lost the video tape footage. I was hoping to find it somewhere online but so far no luck. I wonder whether some Janet fans may help me out. I managed to find your post to a message board and wondered if you could help me. Do you know of anyway I can find the video of that Who Knows the Band episode?

Question
There was a guy who went to her show and was tied up. They showed the pics of him and her on the stage. I thought "Oh my goodness!"

That was like 6 years ago! Not sure if I can find that one, but I will ask some people who might have this video.

Yes, the show was originally taped in October 2001 and unfortunately I've lost the video tape! Now I'm studying the Media at the New School in New York City and I'm doing a research project on the transition from reality television to virtual reality and realized that I could use myself as a prime resource being that I was actually on a reality game show 'Who Knows the Band'. If you could find anyone who actually has a copy of the tape or even a clip that would so helpful and really enhance my project. I would be so grateful to you.
Thanks for responding to my post,

I just hope someone taped this. By the way, are you still a Janet fan?

I think I will be a Janet fan for life because I grew up listening to her so much as a child. Her music was therapy for me and really helped me heal my childhood wounds. I've met her on several occasions, in Detroit, my hometown and here in New York City. But being on stage with her was the ultimate!!! When I tell my classmates and friends at The New School they just can't believe it! I think Janet holds a special place for people especially those interested in music and culture and now shes back in the movie theaters and showing no signs of slowing down. I think what I love about her the most is her work ethic. This really has inspired me coming from a working class town of Detroit and wanting to transcend poverty. I joined the army and traveled extensively and then moved to NYC to pursue college and study Sociology. Now im in graduate school studying the media. Throughout my journeys, I can honestly say that Janet has always been a friend and an inspiration.
Cheers,

I'm only 26 years old from Virginia. I wanted to go to her concert back in 2001 in Virginia Beach, but was sold out, but my uncle got me a Janet poster. Her music is so inspirational. It's great she's still around. She's timeless.

Thanks BK for trying, I really appreciate that. I found someone who works at the MTV library and is trying to help me find it in their database. Unfortunately, they don't have any record of the guests, participants or anything. He asked me if I knew the episode number or when it actually aired. IMDB has the first episode listed as October 30, 2001. My guess is October 30, 2001. But when I look at your old post, I'm not so sure anymore? When did you actually first see the show? So I can tell this guy who works for MTV the orginal air date. By the way, you have been very great in helping me to track down this video tape!!

I know it's been 5 or 6 years since I saw it. I can't remember the date. I wrote it back in Dec. 2001. That's long time ago!
