Expect a NJ roll out, Philly, Wash and Hartford to roll up into the Fenway dates. Then Chicago, Denver, LA & Oak/SF. They'll use the Rising plabook.

A Winter Mix?? Will the Girls freeze in their summer clothes, which could be interesting? Or will the Girls change into winter clothes; which could be even more interesting? :susp:   This just seems to be an odd thing to release. Maybe it will be Magic's answer to the BITUSA video release of DITD?

I have never seen a NJ appearance by Bruce not extend the initial announced number of shows. This will be no different.
The Yankees were difficult to deal with last time around outdoors. It was the tours preferred venue but the Yankees were none to happy about the Fenway appearance.

- why is it any of the Yankees business what the Red Sox do with Fenway Park?
- given that Yankee Stadium is closing I'd bet the two sides (Yankees and Landau) are working hard at securing Bruce dates at Yankee Stadium the end of September. The Yankees finish their regular season (the last week) on the road, and while they may make the playoffs I'd bet Bruce will play two or three days (like he did at Shea) at the end of the 2003 Rising Stadium Tour
- and the dates at Fenway where among the best of the entire Rising Tour. But I don't believe the hype will quite be there this time. Remember those where the first two concerts in Fenway Park history

This is silly and I am not being greedy. The best shows are on Saturday night and we need one at GS this summer.
The tailgates are better the energy level is higher and the in concert shows are the better for it. Parking is going to be a big mess if we have to do the shuttles from Lyndhurst though.

Why not just end the tour with a free show in Central Park? Can get revenue from the DVD and CD. PBS will have a new show to air for years of fundraisers.

I think Landau borrowed a little from the Jimmy Buffett marketing guys! Release a song about summer in the dead of winter. Selling the dream!
I love it.
By the way-I will have to shovel out the reserved parking space at Giant's Stadium for the bta.
Bring it on!

First off, Major League Baseball would have a very hard time sanctioning the October Bruce shows because a they would be hell on the field. The Fenway shows in August coincide with a Red Sox road trip, so there is ample time to get the field back into shape.
Yankees - Red Sox 2003 !!! Are you kidding me. height of the Jose Contreras - Evil Empire days. Lonn Trost COO of the Yankees basically told the Springsteen group, you play there, you don't play our place. The acrimony went that far.
Lastly, you vastly underestimate the appeal of Bruce in Boston if you do not think another round at Fenway would be received like the first.
Bob Kraft called the Springsteen camp earlier this year when it was apparent they were going outside in '08 and basically said take Tom Brady and one of our Super Bowl trophies plus whatever you want from the gate to play our place. Fenway is the preferred venue in Boston, so they spoke with the organization. The organization sheepishly said, they bumped Bob Jovi from "07 @ Fenway to accomodate the Police and promised him '08. After a "we're playing Foxboro" / "don't be so hasty" exchange, the Bruce August dates at Fenway were born.

I think that is a good strategy - there were plenty of good drops for the Giants Stadium shows in 2003. I bought GA's, front row behind pit, and front row tickets for that run on drops.
I'm not even trying on Saturday.

Agreed, I still can pull lowers right now. I will get something great in a drop or something cheap in the lot.
I think I saw you Saturday at Jenks, but it was quite a distance away near one of the bars and I couldn't get over there to say hello. We has a good spot staked out for SSJ.
