Eh. I would feel better about it if my fathers gift would arrive in the mail.
i got to cross two people off my list cause their mother is sending them across the country to their fathers for christmas, so im gonna be a cheap biotch and not buy them anything. speaking of which, dont you think sending a 6 and a 8 year old on a plane to florida alone is kinda risky? maybe its just me.
then i just have to get my grandpa a gift. and the little things in my parents stockings.

I thnk the airlines are used to helping unaccompanied children, so they should be okay, as long as there's someone there to meet them.
And, to answer the question, not even close! :greyno:

What are you going to get for PJ and PinkBoy??

PJ asked for a couple of things that I've gotten (coat, athletic shoes), and I have some jewelry and a couple of tops for her. I'm still not sure what else to get.
Pinkboy is getting Guitar Hero, some Eagles shirts, and I forget what else. I'm too tired to even think these days.

Nope. I've bought for my brother (it's pretty easy when all he wants is U of M stuff) and my Dad but that's it.
My parents keep asking me what I want but I have no clue. And since my birthday is right before I have to think of more things. Ugh.

Since business has been so poor for my parents, I am pretty sure I am getting the mixer i asked for months ago and my mom bought (or at least im pretty sure she did) and not too much else. I got her the star trek ornament she's been wanting since 1991 when it came out. some spatula's with her name engraved and a gift card to her favorite restaurant with her stocking filled with the junk food she likes. lol my dad is getting a branding iron, and gift cards to the same restaurant and home depot. and also fun crap for his stocking. he is a pain in my ass to shop for.
luckily we drew names this year for family christmas presents and I got grandpa. I am getting him a book and a gift card to a restaurant cause he is effing cheap and never goes anywhere nice. Someone needs to tell him it is no longer the freakin depression. lol
then there are the boys, which we already discussed in another thread. and the roommates.
I am making grandma fudge because i want to do something nice for her since half her house burned down a coupel months ago. chocolate makes everything better, even if everything you had in your room for the last 25 years was completely incenerated.

Thanks for the ideas, Sparks:).
I think I might just ask for some DVD's and some new covers for my cellphone. I already know I'm getting a framed Hairspray poster for my room and a Hairspray calendar so those will probably be my birthday gifts.

My birthday is right around the corner after Christmas also (two weeks after!)... so every year people tell me not to buy anything at all so they have ideas for both. lol. I'm not ready for Christmas at all. I only have like two or three people crossed off my list so far :-\ and I have a lot to go... I just gained like how many more people when I got engaged? lol

and thats why my family did a drawing. I see no need to break my pocket book to give to other people especially when i have no clue what to give them. Once giving a person a gift becomes a pain in my ass is propmtly when they stop getting gifts. lol I like giving gifts, if i can come up with something good, that they want and is heartfelt then awesome. if not, well then here are some cookies. lol

So not ready. Still don't have anything for anyone, lol.
I just got a birthday present in the mail today from my old roommate that I thought was really cute. She collected a bunch of recipes from her family and friends in a little book. Cute, thoughtful, and cheap.

Yeah... I think I'm pretty much ready. I'm having a gift exchange party on Saturday, so I got my gift for that. Pretty much took care of Troy. And this year, between my family and Troy's, we are doing a secret santa, thank GAWD. So I picked Troy's Dad and only had to buy for him. Way less stressful and way less money. So glad we are doing it this way. So yeah! I think I'm good.

$20-$30?! That IS a lot! For my friends, I made it be $15. Eff spending more than $20. Although I did spend $18. Oh well.
SparkleHugs
Dec 13th, 2007, 12:23 PM
yeah, 18 is still a decently cheap gift.
i JUST started this job and i have to spend that?! i am thinking of trading with a girl at work so that I can get the boss, who is also my friend and just give her a gift cause she is worth that money to me, but some strange girl i just met isnt. nice girl, but no.

We are still in talks, but we are thinking $25 I believe. I thought about it, and it's expensive but it's not. We have only known each other for about four months, but we have gotten to know each other, and we spend a lot of time around each other... so, I dunno. I don't mind spending 25 on the person I got, so I'm cool.
Oh, and babe... 5. Mom, Dad, sister, brother, grandma. I kinda had something else in mind, but we'll talk later.

I'd say go now then Lanie.

I would, Sparks...but the whole not having a car thing poses a problem. My Mom and I are going later to a Wal-Mart in the next town so I hope I can find some things.
Yes, Michigan winters are bad, especially the further up you go in the UP. Which law school wants you, if you don't mind me asking.

Ave Marie. I think they are just marketing their school moreso than telling me i will be admitted if i apply, if that were the case i would probably consider going more. I have a friend in the top 20% at that school currently and it has a 100% passage rate for the michigan bar, but who wants to practice law in michigan?

The new forecast says 8-12+" here. We went shopping but the only thing I accomplished was deciding what I'm asking for and picking out a frame for the Hairspray poster I'm getting.
I need to get serious. Online shopping for me this year, I guess
