The babes at our college loved Dan... put Dan on the stereo, lower the lights, leave a note for your roomate on the board on the door telling him to get lost, and start the party.

RIP at 56. Your time came way too soon.

I always thought you lured chicks into bed by discussing politics.

At a time in my life...age 22 or 23, I was going to try to get serious about life. I met this girl named Kim who loved Dan Fogelberg. We were going to go out on a Friday night(Valentine's Day) in 1992. She said could we go see Dan Fogelberg. I said who. Anyway, that's the jist of the story. I went to see Dan Fogelberg at the University of Utah basketball arena, for the same reason I went to see Amy Grant at the Greek two years earlier. Same excuse, different girl. It was an acoustic set and I knew one and only one song that was played. The Leader of the Band. RIP Dan.

I used to think Dan Fogelberg played sang sappy songs for teenage girls until I saw him play at the Peace Sunday concert (the Los Angeles equivalent of the No Nukes concerts) at the Rose Bowl in 1982. He totally blew us away that evening, raising the roof after Bob Dylan made a surprise appearance playing Blowin' in the Wind with Joan Baez.

RIP, Dan. Thanks for one of my great concert memories. I'll never forget it.

Wow - I did not hear this news. What a shocker.

I loved his stuff in college. The strange part is that I was recently thinking about him and how much I enjoyed his music.

One of my greatest non-Bruce weekends. Fogelberg 2nd row center in Charlotte on Friday, Little Feat in a club in Atl on Saturday, two Zappa shows at the Fox on Sunday. Fogelberg played a decent electric guitar as well as write some great songs. First album was very nice

RIP Dan Fogelberg...you will be missed...I was only in high school when I started listening to him...I was a sappy girl. I finally got to see him in concert a few months before he was diagnosed with cancer...glad I did. You may be gone from this earth but your music will live on....locating my box set now....

OMG, did I ever fall for that one! Got my heart broken, too. My first true love introduced me to Dan, on his reel-to-reel. I'm sure he seduced lots of chicks that way. I should have known--gosh, how stupid we were back then. I guess the guys weren't so stupid, though!

On another note, the thought of my daughter losing her virginity to Fiddy makes me want to scream...
