Hi!

Now that a few months have passed, is anyone listening to the Bruce Sirius channel? I'm working with Sirius and we'd love your feedback,

If you don't know, the free preview is here: www.sirius.com/estreetradio. We play Bruce 24/7and feature rare concerts, fan recordings and have behind the scenes commentary from Bruce and the band. Hope you like it!

Thanks! ~Lauren

We listen to it every day when in the car.

I am most thankful that they seem to have taken the horrible slow version of Pink Cadillac out of the rotation. That was always a dial switcher.

I agree. That version of Pink Cadillac was pretty bad, But I love the channel. I got Sirius for Howard and the Bruce channel was a great bonus. I just wish it was permanent. Also, Howard is awesome on Sirius!

I've had sirius for a few years. Even though it isn't staying on much longer the Bruce channel is very cool

I have it on all day at my computer and love it. I'm impressed w/ the mix of old & new that is played.
Also enjoy the concerts.

Dear Santa (and Sirius)....please keep Bruce 24/7 forever

I listen daily. It is very enjoyable. The only things I would change are;

1 - It seems certain songs are heavily in the rotation for about 2 weeks, and then gone. And they are usually weaker songs. As mentioned above, dial swtchers.

2 - the Chris Phillips reports are worthless to me. There is never any information I don't already know. Maybe to a casual fan, they might have some value. I'm just not sure how many casual fans listen to a 24/7 Bruce channel.

Biggest request - keep it on forever!!!! It nice to know there is always a Bruce tune on. Especially after 2 hours of Radio Disney.

I talked to Grushecky a few weeks back and he recorded his guest thing for E Street Radio. It might be airing this week or maybe next. He told me he gave them a few recordings that have never been heard before.

As I said before , I love the channel , but they make alot of mistakes. The dates of concerts they broadcast are often wrong. I can think of one off hand that they have played a few times. The date on the screen is 7/18/99, but that's definitely not the show that they are playing . Another time they were playing an E Street show from the reunion tour and it was listed as 1996. Another time they played the Kristen Carr Benefit from MSG in '93 with the other band and at the end of the show they said that was the E. Street Band.

I love the channel. I get it on Dish Network and it's great to have on around the house. I'd consider getting it for the car if E Street Radio were permanent.

In the meantime, I'm very happy to see that E Street Radio will be broadcasting the Jukes' New Years Eve show live this year. That should be a blast.

It's great - and the only thing that will pull me away from The History of Stern running now. Funny, I actually enjoy the moody, slow Pink Cadillac ... but my six year old daughter? - ohhh, hates it. "Why does he keep saying Pink Cadillac over and over?!"

Anyway, scheduling notes to assist and promote:

Joe Grushecky's guest DJ spot airs tomorrow, Friday, December 21, initially at 4 p.m.

John Eddie has also recorded a show for SIRIUS E Street Radio and will share lots of personal stories of his many jams with Bruce and related stuff, including rare recordings that you are not currently hearing on the station. And naturally, John has ties to the Joe G. legacy, as the history of Bruce and Joe's Jersey jams began 8/20/94 at Marz, American Style (what a soundcheck in Long Branch that night at 6 p.m.!) - the Marz series produced by John Eddie, Joe's longtime manager and Light of Day guy Bob Benjamin, Henry Vaccaro and Yours Truly. John's show airs January 28 on E Street Radio. While the show will likley be an hour, John's actual session ran a good deal longer. I'm sure they'll squeeze in all they can.

Happy Holidays and keep sending out E Street Radio!

I love it. While there has been some fairly weak stuff in rotation, as noted above, there are also lots of rarities which are pretty cool.

Ditto the keeping it a permanent channel!

I listen to it off and on every day, I'm surprised how much I enjoy the "You be the boss" fan segments at 10am, I thought they would be overly corny but have been surprised at some of thoughtful things fans have to say and great setlists picked, I might just have to try it myself, although picking your 5 favorite songs seems like an impossibility.

P.S. My greatest frustration with the station has been the limited runs of the guest feature shows - Toby Scott, etc. They stories and insights in them are unique and exceptional - but they are very hard to catch given the limited airings and inability to "record" - subject to an upgraded device or some new software that I hear is out there.

First off, Sirius needs to make this a permanent channel. I would also like to see a greater mix, more diversity, how bout more outtakes?

Also, a documentary like the History of Stern would be a killer.

the live shows they air on e street radio, are the sources of those shows from bruce himself or are those audience recordings?

Most of the recording are from boots or audience live recordings...hell, sometimes even LD members help in submitting shows for use.

Saw my first Bruce show 27 years ago today -- Night 1 of the legendary 3-show run at Nassau Coliseum.

Seemed fitting to have Sirius installed yesterday; feel like a new fan all over again with Bruce on 24/7. Caught a guy dedicating Prove It to his wife today at about 10 a.m. and had it cranking at Volume 11 while blasting down I-95. Doesn't get much better.

PLEASE PLEASE Make this a permanent channel somewhere on Sirius. I just finished listening to the Freehold concert from 11/08/96. This is a must have. Does anyone have a CD of this?

Just got a new sled yesterday and it has Sirius.
Naturally, As soon as I picked up the car, I immediately looked for E Street but the channel guide I had did not list it nor could I find it on the dial..no listing..got on my cell and called Sirius Tech Support and they steered me to channel 10 which read 'Bridge' on my dial...found it....love it as much as the new sled.

I have had XM in my other transams for a few years and like it alot.

Looking forward to Sirius.

I love the channel, and have it on all day when I'm home. I even bought a remote speaker (like I need more speakers) for my studio. I agree that it seems like some songs seemingly get played more often than others....and that the Chris Phillips bit is totally unnecessary. ThankYou Sirius.
