Oh my GAWD my husband wants a new TV too. He is going to get a blue ray player this weekend and wants a new TV to go w/ it so we can get the "full experience". Dude, our TV is fine. We'll see what happens. :susp2:

I got DVD "The Office" (season 3) and "Blades of Glory". A Biggest Loser book (cuz I love that show). And a sweet laptop.

the biggest loser dvd work out is really good. its helped my roommate alot. it would help me too if i you know....used it.

My friend owns a blue ray and said it was crap, well not crap but nothing special to make it worth its money. my suggestion would be an HD dvd player and an HD tv set if you're gonna do it.

is it wrong that i totally want a new laptop even though i have only had this one a little over a year? :o

Troy has done a lot of research... trust me, he would not get a blue ray player if it was crap. :p He has been going back and forth for so long... blue ray or HD... he is going w/ blue ray because he can get a deal on it. And I told him you know, just get it now, and then if for some reason HD takes over, buy that one. Blue ray is only a few hundered, it's not like it's thousands of dollars.

I think you have to have a certain kind of TV to make your blue ray player worth it, which is why Troy would like a new TV. So we shall see!

Why do you want a new laptop? I have never had one before, this is my first one. I am very excited! I love it. Our other computer is kinda old, so I can do lots of cool stuff on this one.

i didnt get a big laptop, so the narrowness of the keyboard has really messed up my wrists and exacerbated my carple tunnel quite a bit, especially with the touch mouse thingie.

I figured he did the research, i'm just telling you what i heard about it, he probably didnt have the proper tv for it. My parents are going to get an HD dvd player soon because my mom just got some HD dvd's for christmas that do not work. lol I really really want a flat screen TV, my own tv (which i have had since i was 13) just takes up too much space.

OMG. We have a TV in one of our rooms... it was my old TV... I think I got it when I was like 9 or 10. :o Still totally works, though.

Yeah my tv works fine, thanks to the ability to use the cable box remote and not the TV's remote which is mostly done. I can use the sleep timer button and thats about it, which is all i need it for.

My family apparently thinks (a) I am 60 years old and (b) I like to cook. Neither of which are true.

I got a food processor. And knives. And mixing bowls.

I am not complaining because there is nothing I needed and/or wanted and it's the thought that counts. But I don't cook. I don't like to cook. I just think its funny.

Bake cookies, then. The end result is so much more fun that it doesn't count as cooking.

I got:

Some sweaters
Ohio State Sleep pants
An Ohio State rug
An Ohio State purse
An Ohio State T-shirt
Reba Seasons 1-4
A Link Larkin (Zac Efron) Hairspray Calendar
A framed Hairspray poster
$25 movie theater gift card
Photoshop
And since my parents didn't know what to get me for my "big gift" I'll be getting a Blu-ray player soon

I was surprised...I didn't give them a list or many ideas so I faired pretty well:D

I got way more than I deserved for Christmas from like everybody :o I'm very thankful and I feel spoiled :o

... and as far as the Blu Ray (isn't it spelled like that?) and HD players go: My best friend is really into electronics and stuff like that, so he just bought a 61 inch flat screen TV (he had a 51 inch before and the lamp went out, he didn't want to pay to get it fixed because I guess it would have kept going out or something, I dunno) and he also got an HD player because he said he likes the movies HD backs, and not so much the Blu Ray. Plus something about when he gets a PS3, that will have Blu Ray in it... lol.

So I think it depends on what you like for movies as well. I don't know about this stuff so, beats me

PS - what do you actually do with a food processor? It is to like, chop stuff up?

Lanie you consistantly make out better than I think most childrens charities do. lol ALWAYS a long list from you after christmas.

my friend with the blue ray had it in the ps3, so maybe that made the difference of it not completely rocking?

I totally asked for a set of knives and didnt get them. If you want you can send them to me. or try to return them. lol I think you got all that stuff because you are completely on your own now and eating out every night is expensive you will have to cook sometime. Unless you are me and LOVE a Marie Calender's TV dinners. Actutally the only thing i asked for was 90210. I thought i would at least get the 13 dollar book i asked for.

I didn't expect it, honestly. Because all I asked for really was Photoshop and Reba on DVD. I knew I was getting the poster and calendar cause I picked it out, but that's all I was really expecting.

I was definitely fortunate this Christmas...now if only Photoshop had an idiot-proof instruction manual;)

Blu Ray in PS3 probably still rocks...

What is Marie Calender's TV dinners? lol.

Yeah I got a lot of stuff for my apartment also... people know I like to eat out a lot though, so they wouldn't buy many food things ;) and I like cheap frozen stuff also :D

Yeah I think the Blue Ray in PS3 is probably still good. I just don't think he had the right TV. Just like us. We don't have the right TV. So Troy is going to buy a new one. I can't even take it. But he (we?) can afford it, so whatever makes him happy! I told him that I really want to go back to Europe in 2009, so he better think about that before he gets that TV. :p

I have never had a Marie Calender's dinner, but Marie Calender's is good! It's a restaurant Hollis. I like some WW dinners.

The TV dinners are really yummy. totally filling and cheap. not in comparison to a budget tv dinner though. lol they run 2-4 bucks here.
