Where are my photo peeps?!

I know its winter, and thats my down time for photography, but we have to keep this forum alive somehow.

I got a new camera for Christmas!!! The one I've been wanting! The FujiFilm FinePix S700!!! :eek: Im still playing around with it. I havent even downloaded the software for my computer yet! I think the usb cord is still in the wrapper.

Im still not feeling 100% well. Yesterday was the first day in about two weeks that I felt close to feeling better. Hopefully today I will continue to get better.

Once Im feeling well and have the time I will play around some more with this camera and maybe even do a little review.

Winter in my neck of the woods looks blah unless it snows. But maybe in January I can get out and take some pictures regardless.

Ah, come on, Chad. One can always find something interesting in any environment, a knarled piece of wood, a weathered barn, a foggy morning, icicles hanging from an old schoolhouse. Go for it! :)

Alright, I have not got to play with this camera much because the weather has been terrible and I've been getting over being sick. But, I did manage to walk around the park and take a few pictures.

Ohhh, very nice! I really like the contrast of the bare trees against that cobalt blue sky, my favorite color of winter. :)

Yeah, those are about the only decent pictures I can get in winter, the bare trees against blue sky. Unless it snows, then I can go crazy snapping pictures.

I feel like its been forever and a day since I've been in here :o ...and I have still yet to decide upon a new photo hosting site, but then again I haven't shot that many winning pictures lately either so I'm not in too big of a hurry...yet. Just wanted to pop in and say 'Hi' and catch up a bit.

I imagine once I do get a good set of pictures ready I will finally decide on where to host them and then be back to my usual posting frenzy again here (actually a frenzy here is more like one post a day... this place is so slow lately!)

My camera hasn't had much of a chance to see the light of day lately, but I hope that will change soon. Also about to buy a new camera which I'm sure will mean I'll be on a mission trying it out.
