It was totally an impulse purchase. They were having a sale on kitchen stuff and I saw the lettuce knife and it looked cool and the price was cheap and it was from a quality brand, so I bought it. I figured, now I can tell people I have a lettuce knife.

What the heck is a lettuce knife, and why would you need to cut lettuce in the first place? It's pretty easy just to tear with your hands, isn't it? :p

A lettuce knife is made of thick sturdy plastic. They come in different colors, but mine is clear with a green rubber handle. It looks cool. They say its better to cut lettuce with a plastic serrated knife rather than a metal knife so that the lettuce does not brown and wilt. Also, my lettuce knife can also be used for just about any vegetable.

Chad, take a picture already. I want to see what this thing looks like. It might actually be available in stores here in two-three years :p

I took a picture, but its not pretty. All the counter tops in my kitchen are white. Try taking a picture of something clear with a white background, not easy, and I have a nice new camera.

I've never heard of such! I'm happy buying the pre-cut bagged stuff and adding to it.

You know, they say that pre-cut bagged stuff is sucked of all its nutrients.

Speaking of interesting kitchen gadgets, my friend sent me this link for a quite unique knife block lol. She's just going through a separation and joked she was going to send this to her ex as a parting gift

Didn't think lettuce had that many nutrients anyway. I usually add stuff to it like tomatoes etc.
