Why do your posts always run behind the advertisements? :p
His press conference has been delayed... He's likely stepping down.
Too bad, finally a spunky governor. :blueeek:

If Bush can get away with being president and Cheney as VP, why shouldn't eveyone aspire to get away with murder? A prosititution ring is nothing compared to an unnecessary war and the bilking of our country by Haliburton and other oil-based companies.
He has not yet resigned, but did make a public statement... Is he going to try and ride this through?
Heh... "Spunky Spitzer?" ;)

Do they? They look okay on my screen, but you're not the first person who's said that recently. Maybe when my screen name was bolded it made it longer or something. *shrugs* Has that always happened?

It's happened longer than you've been elevated above the minions... Joking, people!

Hmmm... weird. I think it happens when I add the links that can't be broken up into graphs (no spaces).

I think that judging how he has presented himself and how he made a name for himself being one of the people that he as AG would put behind bars does not look well at all and probably will cause his demise. Right now i could care less for him but I really feel for his wife and family. It's hard enough to deal with something like this, much worse when its national headlines.

Okay, so it turns out he was a client. He hired a prostitute. At first, I thought he was involved in the running of this high-priced prostitution ring.

I thought the same thing when I read the initial headline.

That's the way it was first being reported by all outlets it seemed.

I always thought it meant he was a customer. At least he doesn't have to worry about the IRS for having unreported income if he'd been an operator.

Alright who is calling me a minion *glares*
:p
He hired a hooker. Big deal. Men and women do it all the time. It has nothing to do with his job.

Exactly. Democrats don't believe in morals. He'll be fine. If he were Republican he'd be gone by now.
Notice the Clintons have been very quiet on this? :]

Your morals are obviously different from mine. Having sex is not something immoral.
If it had been a Republican, I would have said the same thing. That's the difference between you and I, Reeg.

Really? Last I checked, Larry Craig was still in office.

If he wasn't a married man i don't think people would of thought too much of this however hes married and has kids doesn't look good. However i don't care what people are doing behind closed doors as long as they run things good. Thats really all that matters.

He's outta there.
I think being married hurt, but he was in a position where he was supposed to incriminate the people he was (yes, pun intended) in bed with.

If he has not been AG before and broken up prostitution rings in the past and just been the all around guy that went after everyone. Even some for what others percieved as stupid je could have survived. But he was Mr.Clean, the enforcerer and here he was comiting some serious crimes, it is not so much as the sex but the putting of money in front companies, transporting the sex worker across state lines etc... If he is charged and he faces the maximum he could be in jail for about 25 years, so its about much more than just the actual sex. But he should have known better so he has no one to blame but himself for being an idiot. I do feel for his family though, this must be a horrible experience.

Wow Spitzer is an idiot, I just found heard that the reason they investigated him was because he transfered a little over 10 grand and broke it up into various smaller amounts. This is to get pass the mandatory reporting of the transfer to the IRS if it is of 10 thousand or more. The funny thing is that he asked his name to be removed from the transfer and obviously the bank denied. When something like this happens you have to file a SAR.(suspicious activity report). At my job at times I do deal with money transfers and have had people try to do things like this and obviously you have to report it to the IRS. It is common knowledge specially after 9/11 with the way the government has clamped down. I can't believe someone like him wouldnt have known this. He was supposed to be so smart and made such a stupid mistake, no good teller would fail to file a SAR for someone splitting 10 grand into smaller amounts in hopes to pass by the mandatory reporting.
