No surprise here. Remember the USA Today interview that had the list of songs from Bruce's Ipod? A bunch of McGuinn stuff on there:

I think its interesting Fire would win a vote to be included in the setlist. What were the other choices? Or is it completely write-in?
Now I would enjoy it if he chose to play it, but the only way I can envision voting for it would be if the Pointer Sisters were joining him.:)

I'd love to hear "Cautious Man." Any idea when that was last played?

I was in the car for a few minutes yesterday; my son had left the radio dial on the "classic rock" station; and I heard BTR and Cover Me back to back. I wonder what that was about?

Thought you might like that, Mark. ;)
All these signs at his shows. Starting to turn into American Idol...

The setlists for the recent shows, beginning in California, have been incredible, vastly better than the 2007 tour. These shows are certainly making a strong case for more shows in the summer (perhaps the fall!).

What an unbelieveable show. Lots of energy and Bruce was very interactive with the crowd. You actually felt like it was 1978 with some of the banter Bruce had with the crowd between songs. The best was his "It must be a management decision" comment regarding the so-called radio vote for the song Fire.

From Backstreets.com:
More greatness in Florida. Tonight's was an energetic, unpredictable show, with the standard setlist (including much of Magic) all but thrown out the window. A tour premiere -- one of four -- started things off. When word of Tampa's Danny Federici montage started going around, the video tribute with a musical backing of "Blood Brothers," there was some initial confusion: was it the recorded studio version, or played live? Tonight, the Orlando crowd got both. After the montage, Bruce and the band revisited "Blood Brothers" in a new live arrangement, more akin to the Alternate Version on the Blood Brothers EP, a fierce performance with no question who it was for, especially as Springsteen repeated the singular "my blood brother."
That is awesome. THAT is the one I want to hear. The alternate version is one of my very favorite Bruce songs, and I had pretty much resigned myself that that arrangement would never be performed live. I am over the frickin moon about this, and cannot wait to hear it (and hopefully see it!).
Rock on,

Not sure. There is a version on the BB bonus CD where Bruce is acapella at the beginning then it rocks.

I was in shock when Bruce started Blood Brothers alone under a spotlight. I think I was the only person in my section who recognized the song. Great version and great way to honor Danny - it definitely set the tone for the evening.
Bruce was much more engaged with the crowd than he was in Tampa. It was almost the encores before Bruce made it to the lower riser of the stage in Tampa - in Orlando he was down there on the 2nd or 3rd song.
Before Jungleland Bruce grabbed a sign from a 10 year old that said "It's been 30 years since I have heard Jungleland live". Bruce's response was "how can that be when you are what ...... 10 or 12? Your parents made you hold that sign didn't they?

Moderators, Why is this racist still allowed to post on this board?
Sorry, to do this here, but the Moderators have not responded to my requests to remove August Blues or his post for his offensive racist comments directed at me.

No, the video only has a bunch of takes of the regular version. Like Tarik said, it was only on the bonus CD.
Speaking of the regular version, one of my favorite moments of the video was watching the band just enjoy listening to the final version when they knew they got it right. That was sweet.

I never did get the bonus CD. Was that distributed with a limited edition version of Greatest Hits, or with the video? Good thing they invented the internet, or I wouldn't know anything. :D

From what I recall, it was handed out at Best Buy if you bought the video. I didn't get it, either. I think my good friend Deana spread some good cheer... ;)

I seem to recall mine was bundled with the video. Of course, I may well have gotten it at Best Buy. But I thought this was in the days before each big electronics chain had their own 'exclusive' version.
When I upgraded to the DVD years later, there was no bonus CD included.
Mark, if you're in need let me know...
