As we all know, the dates listed below are the only ones known so far for the US stadium tour. Is there any speculation as to what other cities might get stadium shows? Any idea when Philly or others will be announced? I'm guessing the following US cities might get stadium shows:

Philly, Washington, Denver, Detroit, LA and/or Oakland/SF, and NYC. If they return to Canada then perhaps Toronto and Montreal.

Announced so far:
July 27 E. Rutherford, NJ Giants Stadium
July 28 E. Rutherford, NJ Giants Stadium
July 31 E. Rutherford, NJ Giants Stadium
August 2 Foxborough, MA Gillette Stadium
August 30 Milwaukee, WI Roadhouse at the Lakefront

Don't think that it would ever happen but I would love to see one SE show. How about a Saturday night in Atlanta at the Georgia Dome? I believe we could pack the place.

Detroit instead of Chicago?? I can't see that happening.

I keep hoping he adds a stadium show (or any show for that matter) in Chicago around the same time as Milwaukee. As long as they are hauling all their stuff out to the midwest, get another show in there.

I'd be surprised to see a stadium leg extend to the west coast. Happily surprised, but surprised. Then again the setlists have raised interest levels quite a bit in recent weeks.

Does anyone else think that the fall will be a "Vote for Change" type tour, possible with some other artists?

we were discussing that last night at lone star. the consensus was, maybe if it's obama, definitely not if it's hilary

I heard just that Nick. Its just a rumor of course.
I dont agree that he won't do shows if its Hillary though.
Can you see Bruce remaining silent in Oct if its "just Hillary"? I can't.
The mans position since Bush has done what he's done is that our country has been run into a ditch.
If it's Hillary, Bruce will come around to the dark side because he knows that it's the Democratic party that will get us out of Iraq ASAP.

My bad, I left Chicago off the list of likely cities. They should definitely get a stadium show. Other cities due a show, although possibly not a stadium sized show:

Phoenix
Las Vegas
Salt Lake City
Austin
Memphis
Nashville
New Orleans

Most of these won't get stadium shows though as the demand wouldn't be big enough to be cost productive in a huge stadium. I'm still surprised Phoenix and Denver got skipped on the arena leg.

Agree on Denver and Phoenix. Less surprisingly (but yet still) skipped were St. Louis and Kansas City.

I think Philly is a given.Probably 2 shows? I just can't see the other cities mentioned happening.Especially for stadiums. By August gas should be $4.50 a gallon and heating oil more.

If Obama wins the nomination, I say Bruce goes to Denver in early Sept. to end the DNC and plays Red Rocks Amphitheater (the schedule is wide open). That spectacle itself would be enormous.....yeh, in my land of hope and dreams.....

Yeah! Bruce could play the Deer Valley venue. What's it hold...about 3,000? I would personally love love love that one!

I can't see him playing a Detroit show. Not sure about the attendance at Comerica on Rising, but I don't think Auburn Hills was sold out this tour. TM had it listed as sold out, but almost the whole upper deck was empty. Not sure if they just didn't sell those seats or what.

I'm just hoping for a Chicago show.

O.K. so Charlottesville was supposed to be my swan song. The whole week could not have gone better. Thing is....I can't get over it!! Though I'd rather see arenas than stadiums. Stadiums is what I have. I've been invited to GS. The wife is hooked now and said she would like to go back to Boston for a visit. We used to live their and could probably stay with friends. I have family in Jersey that we could stay with. Then Philly isn't far and gets some of the best shows. One problem is we have young kids which doesn't make it easy and of course the money. So, here is my question. If you could only pick one more show between those three stadiums, which would you pick?

wait till Philly is announced to decide.
You do either Philly or NJ.
Deff not MA.
If Philly gets 2 and they are back to back.I`d take Philly.
If Philly gets 1,then you do the 3 shows in 5 days in NJ.

Go to the Los Angeles stadium show. It's wonderful attending an outdoor show in November!

Why not MA? I'm toying with the idea of visiting a friend who lives on the Cape for that weekend, and hitting the show with her. (Ironically she first introduced me to Bruce when we were teenagers, and we've never been to a show together...)

I read those rumors as well. It makes sense and sounds promising but, nothing official. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

I'm hearing all over the place that there will be LA arena shows.

We'll see.

Yeah really, I just got 3 floor seats at Foxboro (the road trip is happening after all) -- ok they're in the back, but back of mezzanine and low center uppers were available too. What's up with that?

Very interesting rumor, however I'm doubtful that he'll tour the US with both a stadium and an arena stage at the same time. Granted, the Rolling Stones did that on their last couple of tours however once artists like Bruce and U2 make the transition between legs of a tour they generally just play those type of shows. One stadium stage is being used while another is being set up in the next city.

U2's Vertigo Tour went from US arenas, to European stadiums, to US arenas, then to stadiums for the rest of the world and tour. On the Rising Tour, it went from arenas to stadiums and once there it remained in stadiums. Ironically, the Rising tour had 120 shows, with exactly 60 in arenas and 60 in stadiums.

Interesting...I hadn't heard anything about a DC show.
