I am debating making the trip from Orlando to Ft. Lauderdale tomorrow for the show. I know it is a crapshoot - what do you think my chances of are getting in the pit with a GA ticket?

Usually numbers around 110, 180 or the last 100 or so numbers given out as wristbands usually are the picked number. That means just monitor the numbers when their being given out. Your odds increase when you are around those numbers to be selected into the pit. Out of 12 shows dating on the Magic tour since October 10 for 12 into the Pit including one front row at MSG. You have a good shot. Out of those shows 10 for 12 into the pit mainly I am in the back of the pit. Charlottesville, MSG, Hartford, Nassau and Philly within the first 4 rows in front of Bruce.

I'd put the odds at 50/50, maybe a little lower because it is the last US arena show for now.
Not everyone with a GA goes for the pit. For the past few shows, they handed out approx 750-1,000 wristbands at each show and let 400-500 in the pit.
It's a lot of standing, but it's a great experience. Good luck tonight, and enjoy the show!

Your odds of getting in the pit are driven ONLY by how many wristbands are given out. If 400 are allowed in and 800 are given out, you have a 50 percent chance of getting in. Referencing past numbers drawn has nothing to do with what will happen the next show. It's totally random.
Now, there are a "chosen" group that get their wristbands whether in line or not. They "pretend" to hang around the line as if they are following the rules of the lottery, but they have no need to do so.
Knowing this and them actually makes for entertaining viewing when you see their acting displays and slinking around.
Be sure to catch the "Pit Hogs" show today beginning around the time the wristband lottery starts at 2 p.m.
By the way, their odds of getting in the pit EVERY show: 100 percent.

Are these the same guys that manipulated the fan lines during The Rising tour?

Some of the same folks indeed. I think they get their number to see if only they are in the first 50 people or so and if they are not you see them come in about an hour after the line is let in and take their spot in the pit. Don't know how they pull it off, but more power to them I guess. You have to ask yourself, if you could be in the pit for every show even if it meant pissing off a few peeps...would you do it? Be honest now!

Of course I would. But I wouldn't "pretend" to assemble with the masses that are following the rules.
It insults my intelligence to see these "sainted" pretend to follow the rules and then slink off to get the coveted second wristband.
We see them do this every show, so just step up and visit with those who know you and say "see you in the pit hopefully."

So, did you go for the pit last night? Inquiring minds want to know!
You're absolutely right about the same folks getting automatic passes for the pit. It was interesting how I saw many of the same faces in there at both the Atlanta and Greensboro shows. What bothers me is that the powers that be want to carry on as if everything is on the up and up, when most of us know that it is what it is.
I had a great time in the pit for the Atlanta show, thanks to some great folks around us. Wouldn't go for it every time (gettin' too old for that), but it was sweet that night!

Along those same lines I see the winner of the raffle to see Bruce and the Band at the Count Basie Theatre is none other than Ted Byrch....he being the leader of the "fan run lines" and one of the guys I mentioned as always being in the pit even if his number is not drawn. Coincidence? Maybe. Just sayin..........

Oh Boy here we go again. I just think that he got the best Bruce Karma.:bunny: Also how do you know which shows he attends? He's not at every single show.
BTW I was right. 105 was the chosen number in Ft. Lauderdale and 110 was close to it! Thats why I'm the master of getting close to the correct numbers being drawn. Used mathmatical formulas and I spoke to Bon Jovi at the Newark airport before leaving for every show on this tour outside Jersey. He gave me his prediction on what the odds were to get into the pit and which number would be chosen to almost every show I attended this tour. Next I will ask the Taco Bell Dog if he is still alive for advice for the short Summer Stadium run in Jersey and Mansfield.

Which number was selected close to the 3 numbers I gave out? 110, 180 and 240. 105 was the number selected. I will now get my advice from the Taco Bell Dog the next time I stay in New York at the SoHo hotel. Yes he gets the royal treatment when staying in New York.

And be sure your lucky rabbit's foot keychain is dangling from a belt loop also. I hear that guarantees pit access.

The "mathematical formulas" of probability would tell you that each wristband has an equal chance of being pulled.
Unless, of course, there's some monkey business taking place, in which case you can throw out the math book completely.

I think we all WITNESS every single lottery. Clearly the person that picks the number is randomly picked while in line. Thats why I had good odds 11 for 13 into the pit. Most shows approximately 600 to 700 people entered the lottery. Every night there was a different number of people to enter the pit based on the fire marshall. After I find out the approximate number I do the math when I try to be around numbers 90 to 300 to get a wristband. Last show I got there late and was number 400 something and everyone in the 400's in Ft. lauderdale got a wristband. Plus you got to factor in that 20 or so people will get a wristband(after the original number that is supposed to get into the pit.) Some people that win the lottery leave the line so thats why an extra 20 people get into that stay in their original order. So one show I nailed the lottery at MSG because I picked 93 and number 88 was called in October. Best advice for you all is to not hate the playa! Love those that have the best luck/good karma and you will have Good Karma!

I think it was L.A. where the cute little girl on her daddy's shoulders drew the number -- and it was hers! Coincidence? ;)
