How do you get to be in the final four and forget words to a Dylan song?
bye bye Jason

And on the easy part of the song, too. Sheesh.

That's what happens when you're a slacker.

The show has been awful ever since Michael Johns got voted off. Paula's "scripted" comments about songs that haven't been sung yet proves it's a fraud. Michael was the one with the most talent. The elf looking kid has been earmarked as the idol since day one - how could they ever say that "America" by Neil Diamond and sung by that troll beats a good rockin' version of "Dream On". How does a dreadlocked kid with a bad voice win raves for singing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" with a ukelele beat a beautiful and soulful version of "Across the Universe". It's a fraud. Michael had record deals before. He's older and more savvy. They wanted him out of there.

I thought he butchered "Across the Universe," but I did think Johns would be in the final 2. Maybe he was a victim of high expectations.

That's what I get for trying to understand the voting patterns of the 12 yr. old girls who love watching Jason Castro bat his eyes (apparently).

I'm afraid he'll survive again tonight.

Oh no. Across the Universe was beautiful. He's got the whole thing going - great voice, stage presence, persona, excitement. I thought overall he was the best contestant. Others have good voices, but he has it all. I guess after him, the only one left is David Cook.

I liked Cook's version of Baba O'Reilly (all 30 seconds of it) and he nearly made Hungry Like the Wolf listenable...

As for Castro, the backup singers sang more than he did on I Shot the Sheriff -- probably a good thing. Maybe THEY should be finalists...
