Just saw some footage of the concert on the 10:00 PM NJ Public TV news. They showed the flubbed beginning of Badlands. Bruce said "we fu##ed it up already!!" Also showed the injured Iraqui war vets getting off a bus to enter the show.

Just a little personal experience from earlier. I just couldn't swing the $1250 dropped tickets over the last couple of days, so I thought I'd take a shot by heading down and seeing if I ran into someone with an extra who maybe got the tickets for free and would be willing to sell at a discount (it has happened to me before). No such luck, but I did hang out to see Steven, Gary, and eventually Bruce come in the back way. Bruce did come over to the crowd and took a picture or two.

I then waited on the drop line, about 10 deep by the time I got on it, and the general consensus was that everyone was hoping they would drop tickets for less than the original price (I promised myself I wouldn't go over $300). No such luck, they announced 9 tickets were dropping at $1000 each about 5 or 10 minutes into the show. They then told us that Bruce would be playing the 2 albums back to back with 3 encores to entice a few folks into ponying up a grand. They had 5 or so takers, but most of the line went away empty handed with tickets being left over.

I listened to a couple of songs outside, but then headed home. Too bad I couldn't go, but I hope the folks who are there have a blast!

I loved it when Cheap Trick did something like this a few years back. Three consecutive nights, three albums in their entirety with a bunch of extra songs.

But I'm bummed I missed out on Lucinda Williams' version of this where she did a five-night stand covering five albums.

Someone on BTX was asking to see it, but my account hasn't yet been approved over there, so if one of you has an account there, please post and send them over here, okay?

Dang...who cares about my little marquee shot from two days ago when you can have TONIGHT'S marquee with Bruce and the band solely?

I really should be down there right now. It's less than a mile from my apartment. But I couldn't stand the idea of being outside, and not inside. In fact, if I could have found a way to NOT be in Red Bank tonight, I would have. Envy is a terrible thing!!

I have a hard time caring about any dang marquee sign when I think about the idea of watching and listening to Darkness and BTR, both in order and in their entirety. Wow.........WoW............WOW!!!!!!!!!!

A grand seems steep, but would I trade it for the last 8 shows I have seen? Maybe. It would be hard not to go if I lived in the area.

I wonder if Bruce will realize that they got it backwards, should have been BTR first, then Darkness.

Maybe We'll get WIESS at Giants Stadium. :music:
