Curious if Bruce explained this passage from D & D on Storytellers:

I got God on my side
I'm just trying to survive
What if what you do to survive
Kills the things you love
Fear's a powerful thing
It can turn your heart black you can trust
It'll take your God filled soul
And fill it with devils and dust

I know its an odd request, but if he did, could someone paraphrase the explanation

I think it means "Vote Democrat" in 2008...;)

I'm pretty sure he did but I haven't seen the special in a while so I can't offer much help.

The only part that seems vaguely familiar is "I've got God on my side" - I think he said refers to the idea that everybody believes God is on their side. And I think "What if what you do to survive... Kills the things you love" is a reference to sometimes doing what you need to do to survive in a war goes completely against what your core values and beliefs are.

I'm sure someone else could do a much better job with this.
