Okay, so my friend and VIP partner in crime, Ellen (psychoredhead), is new to the NKOTB madness. She was never a fan, and now only really cares about Donnie, who she became familiar with in movies. So, the NKOTB concert thing is ALL new to her. I invited her to go with me to the DC show, and she's actually rather excited. She says I have until the concert in October to educate her on all things New Kids.

That's where you guys come in. Post random useless facts about the group and the guys individually. Any and everything from funny to weird to scary..whatever. Just all the things we as fans have learned over the years.

Jonathan's Essex house is less than a mile from his momma's.

Jonathan is a real estate developer, and rumor has it that his business partner is also his life partner.

Joe went to some party in about 1990 and was caught with his hands down some sorority girl's pants, and he was drunk off his ass and smoking, too.

Danny dated Halle Berry when she was on the show Living Dolls.

Jonathan and Jordan's sisters own a children's clothing shop in Marblehead, MA, which I've been to and is very high end clothing.

Jordan's now-wife is weird about fans. I'm surprised she didn't throw a fit about this reunion.

Danny's oldest son isn't with his ex wife.

The recorded Toasties to prove that their fans would eat up anything New Kids.

Al Lancelotti, who co-wrote a lot of their music back in the day, was very disenchanted by the fact that Maurice renegged on his promise to help Al with his career in favor of the New Kids, and started going to SixthNewKid.com to try and get some sort of fanbase. He has since either married or is living with a fan from that board.

Joe used to wear more gold than a pimp.

Contrary to popular belief, Jordan's favorite type of date is NOT "sitting on the beach by a roaring fire."

Donnie lost 40 pounds for role in The Sixth Sense...which he appeared in for about 7 minutes.

Joey used to wear eyeliner and perm his curly to make it more curly.

One of Danny's nicknames was Puff McCloud

Jon's middle name (Rasleigh...yes I know that is spelled wrong) is his grandmom's maiden name.

Both boys were the youngest co-choristers (at the time) in a prominent boys' choir for the Episcopal church their father was a priest at.

Joe's mom wanted him to be a priest.

The Moms were called the Moms 30 or something like that, because between the four of them, they had 30 kids (albeit, one of Marlene's is adopted).

Jonathan and Jordan have an adopted brother, Christopher, who is black.

Jonathan and Jordan's mom was a social worker who took in foster kids and foster adults that needed a place to live.

Jonathan and Jordan's childhood home in Dorchester is now a Salvation Army house. (I've been there -- it's a GORGEOUS home)

Mmm...some chick at the fan convention I went to in 2002 has Jordan's signature on her shoulder blade. Sharon had seen it the year before at the convention and she's all hitting Allison (these are his sisters) shoulder, "You have to see th is!" The girl showed the tattoo, and the disgusted look on Allison's face was priceless.

Marlene told us about some fans breaking into their house in Dorchester after a show and demanding to see the boys. She got a fence put up shortly thereafter. She told us about having to sneak the boys out the back yard and into a neighbor's yard to get out of the house because there were so many fans out front. And Jordan sleeping in the turrett room of their house in Dorchester and TV cameras shooting up into his room, and Marlene had to come in and pull down the shade so Jordan could get out of bed without flashing the whole world to see.

I remember, my first almost run in with Jordan was at the McDonalds drive thru, i kid you not. He was recording here in MN back in 1998, and we found out the good details. We had waited around by the studio for alittle while, and no luck. As we walked back and got into our car, a car pulled out of the studio drive way, so i decided to pull out behind it. The guy who was driving was Miguel, Jordan's manager at the time (which i didn't officially know til the next day), and there was someone in the passenger seat. I was trying to figure out if the driver was Jordan, because he had his haircut. Once i realized it wasn't him, Dawn goes "the guy in the passenger is a black guy, so no Jordan". So then Dawn goes "I want some fries and a drink, lets go to McDonalds". Well, little did we know, the car we were following and were about to peace out for McDonalds, decided to pull into the Mickey D's drive thru too. So, i was alittle embarrassed, cuz i thought for sure they knew we were following them. Well, as they are ordering, the guy in the passenger seat leans in the back seat for something. I am like WTF? Wait? And as he flings himself back up to sit up straight, i totally see that it's Jordan. I yell at Dawn "That ain't no effin black guy, that's Jordan"! And omg, it was funny. He totally knew we were looking at him. He kept lookin in the mirror back at us, and laughed. I was yelling at Dawn, get out and go talk to him! LMFAO! She's like "hell no, you do it"? Yeah right, let me get out and just leave my car there, because i was the one driving. I felt like ass. So they pull up. We order, as quickly as possible. We pull up behind them again, and you see them hand Miguel a HUGE handful of ketchup. Dawn goes "ok, as if there was any doubt before, but we know that's Jordan in that car". And i swear the damn drive thru person took FOREVER to give us our damn fries and coke. Needless to say, by the time we got back over to the studio, they were already parked and inside.

lool I dont eat scrambled eggs, well any type of eggs in particular so no I havent tried that. But I put it on almost anything: Spaghetti, Fried Rice, Pizza, Macoroni, Lo' mein, mashod Potatoes just to name a few lool I know people find it really weird but It is always a must necessity when I eat :biggrin:

I am initiating a new fan too. When I found out about the reunion, I told my 16-year-old sister she was going with me whether she liked it or not. Lately, I have heard her listening to some NKOTB on her computer and today I sent her the Today show performance and her response was "Mmm, I love me some Donnie." Mission accomplished! :laugh:

More "useless" facts.

Jordan used to be a Batman fan. He always had something Batman related on him! LOL

Jonathan used to have a Sher Pei(dog) named Nikko/Houston(some fans say it's name was Nikko and some say Houston) but it died years ago. :( he was cute too(especially in their Saturday morning cartoon show)

Oh and yeah they really did have a cartoon show:D

Joe always wore hats(forget the name of them) with the top cut out.

Danny, Jordan, and Donnie when they wrote songs called their little writing trio Cricket(why i have no clue LOL)

Jordan wore braces on his teeth for a while during the NK's hey day.

Donnie was arrested in Louisville Kentucky for allegedly setting a hotel floor on fire. But what actually happend(according to their E! True Hollywood Story episode) was a friend of their had something full of vodka and he asked if they thought it would catch on fire, so before the guy lit up the vodka Donnie went and got the fire extinguisher and just before the guy lit it on fire Donnie sprays him and the powder from the extinguisher made it look like there was smoke coming from the room and another guest saw it coming from the room and before you know it the fire department and police were called.
