I was reading some threads and noticed that a lot of people go to the concerts by themselves.. I found tickets for the past NJ concert, but no one would go with me. I really thought of going by myself but I didn't. I don't know if I was scared or didn't want to look stupid by myself. Now I am kicking myself for not going by myself... *What a fool I am** It hard because none of my friends are BIG FANS like me!! Do a lot of you go by yourselves!?

I don't like to go alone either cuz I feel stupid being by myself too...but if I get a good ticket for 1 person, I have no problem going it alone :D I'd just get there as late as possible before the guys came on so I didn't have to sit there while everyone was piling in. That would suck. I actually don't mind going alone at all now that I think about it. I don't have to worry about acting stupid or screaming too loud in front of friends :o

I've gone by myself several times... My first show I went to, I flew to another state and I couldn't afford a hotel, so I had to sleep in the airport. lol - it was SO worth it! :D

I dun have any friends :( lol so I'm going alone! Yeah, I may look weird alone on my own lol but this is the biggest group of the world and this is one of the best shows so no way I'm missing it, accompanied or not.

When you guys go alone do you find the people around you are usually cool, or do you just keep to yourself? I am so happy I asked this question--you guys really raised my spirits about going alone!!!

Sometimes I talk to other people and sometimes I don't. It really depends on who is around me. If they look freakish, I'm not talking to them and that's the end of it LOL!

I flew by myself all the way from the midwest to Florida (my first time on a plane BTW) for my first BSB concert and it was incredible! Course, I'm older, and I don't recommend it for younger fans. You just have to be open to meeting new people and having new experiences. I waited a long time to do anything like this, and I still can't really believe I did it, but I am sooooo glad I did, cause I met lots of new friends and am meeting up with one of them again to see another concert next week in Chicago. (Hey, Stacy!! *waves*) So, my recommendation ... GO FOR IT!
Course, the whole BSB experience is just amplified when shared with friends so grab some if you can and go. But if it comes down to going by yourself or not going at all, and you can afford it, DO IT!

What juju said. :) I usually find cool people to talk to. Even when I go to concerts with friends, I don't usually sit with them, because I don't plan to socialise during the show, I plan to watch the concert and take pics!

When you're younger there is a big stigma to going alone to things-you know I haven't even been o the movies by myslef as I'm too bothered what people think so I always wait for my best friend to come.
But for BSB she is not going to go to all the concerts-I know that for a fact so I will go by myself if I have to-there's really nothing I can do plus if there's a really good seat you have to take it! You don't get that kind of good luck often.:)

Yeah, I'm 28 and alot of my friends think it is silly for me to be so obsessed with them. I just should have gone last Saturday night by myself. You guys are great, and thanks for opening my eyes:)

I've gone to 2 out of 5 concerts alone now and I still had fun. You can make friends really easily, and even if you dont its a loving enviroment, you're all there to see the boys! You can still have fun, sing and dance, even if you arent going with someone.

I think I'd like to go by myself. Once you are there and everyone is standing and singing, we are all there together anyways.
What an incredible experience being amongst 20,000 other raving fans.
Go alone, and treasure the memories :)

I think even if you do go alone people understand-not everyone likes the BSB-out of all my friends only one likes them but she's not mad about them like me.
Anyway BSB fans are really cool from what I've seen-I had to queue up for BSB wristbands by myself and I got chatting to these 2 sisters who were lovely. Plus we made friends with these girls who were in the queue behind us to meet the BSB and stuck with them all evening.:) We're all good friends now and keep in touch.:D

I am going by myself to their concert later this month. I would actually prefer to go alone, that way you can just sit back, enjoy the concert, and have a blast with all the other crazy fans. :) My friend would have gone if the tickets were cheaper, but they definitely wouldn't spend $97.

Since I prefer doing things alone, I'm all for flying solo. Like the others have said, you never meet a Backstreet stranger, for some reason everyone is mellow and everyone is anxious to discuss Backstreet with you. The sense of camaraderie is unreal. Go!
