Who is Cindy McCain

I thought this article on this weeks newsweek was very well done. And it gives us an insight into this person we truly do not know much about. The candidates wives will always make the news from having their patriotism questioned, to having their personal lives posted for the world to see. And if we can learn a bit about them to take everything we hear into context it will make things much better because most of the media doesn't like the whole context thing.

Thanks for posting that, Luis. I had never heard anything about Cindy McCain at all. She seems like a very strong woman, and yet there are a few things in that article that I find inconsistent.

For example, she insists her husband is a man of great character, and yet he pursued a relationship with her while still married to his first wife. And we're then supposed to just assume that the reports of an inappropriate relationship later in his life, while he was away from his wife almost all the time, are completely unfounded, because of his character.

But overall, I gained some respect for her.

Well McCain and his first wife were seperated, the marriage was heading to divorce. I don't know if his first wife felt they would get back together, but she did mention that she doesn't blame McCain for the marriage breaking up. So while he still was married and not divorced, they were seperated and heading towards divorce, because of that I don't believe it impunes McCains character nor does it help validate the reporting by the times that had absolutley no proof to back it up. That was the biggest problem with that article that it had the same solid footing as the national inquirer.

I realize all that. I'm just one of those old-fashioned people who believe that a person should tie up the loose ends of a marriage before pursuing someone else.

And I don't think a person should begin a relationship by lying about his/her age, either. ;)

I agree with Pinky that is why I can't stand Angelina Jolie, Tori Spelling, and Denise Richards(I also can't stand the men they cheated with but Im too lazy to name them. You know who they are). That's one of the reasons I ended up disliking Rudy Guiliani so much; thats not the only reason. I do feel McCain gets A LITTLE BIT of a pass because they were seperated.
