Americans are so fickle. If she would've said back then that the president was stupid she would've had stones thrown at her just like what happened to the Dixie Chicks.

The Dixie Chicks were bashed back by their audience: ignorant, old-fashioned, Nazis rednecks who live in small towns waiting for the second coming of Jesus. They earned a whole new audience instead and the applauds of the entire world
Britney's audience was slightly smarter and cultured than that (Supposedly), so no, her situation would have been entirely different.

It seemed half of America, Canada and Mexico were hating on the Dixie Chicks. Their career abruptly ended for a time and they vanished.
I love the Dixie Chicks though. :love: I thought people and news organizations were over reacting.
