Anyone else see him knocked down in their books a few notches because of these shenanigans?
When he announced his retirement, I fully expected him to come back just in time to miss most of practice. I however didn't expect him to be a little baby about everything. I feel sorry for the Packers, not only because what he's doing, but because the commissioner seems to be tying their hands also.
This is just one of the many reasons I love baseball over football... Holdouts and rengging on contracts seem as much part of football as the games themselves.

My perfect scenario would be for the Packers to trade him to Minnesota, and then see him tank. I'm not really a Packers fan, but they're being manipulated here, and I think it's unfair that Goodell has reinstated Favre.
And, yes, he's definitely lost my respect.

i was never much of a Favre fan, being that i am from Minnesota and love the Vikings. But i would love it if he came over here. We need a decent QB. from the sounds of training camp, we got a pretty decent team this year. He could helps us out ! :)
no tanking pinky!! lol

How about if he tanks, and his backup comes up big?

Nah, I like tanks and Vikes fall. I wasn't necessarily anti-Vikes, until a friend at work started giving me crap that the Vikes were the only team the Giants played but never beat this season... He says therefore the Vikings should be the NFL champions.

He should have stayed retired with such a great record with one team. Also, he's on the cover of the new Madden game, so he's going to have the cloud of the Madden Curse hanging over his head.

There's a rumor he may be traded to Tampa? Whoa.

Hmm. SI is reporting a "bidding war" between the Jets and the Bucs. Very interesting.

Brett just loves green apparently... And it'll likely cost Chad Pennington some. Perhaps the best move in an ugly affair.

Apparently, it's costing Pennington his job. The Jets have announced that he'll be traded or released.
Ouch.

Chad's a good kid, but not the QB people hoped he would be. It's a good move for the Pack and Jets, and Chad will be a good backup somewhere... Maybe Green Bay.

Actually, I like the Jets, and I hope this works out for them.

I personally think he should of took more time to consider retiring so this would of never happened. I understand people change there minds and im all for him playing he is a great QB. i also think the packers are making a mistake they have no idea what this new QB will or can do. There have been many people who have changed there minds about retiring and have come back and done very well. So i wish him the best and hope he is happy and does well.

Brett Favre is an ego maniac. I hope he loses every game this year except the two when he plays the Patriots.

Well that didn't happen. Cassell has looked better then he did in preseason thank god!

Favre had a very good year last season, but was mediocre for several years before that. He's not close to his prime anymore, so I don't see him helping the Jets much and don't have a clue why it got the headlines it did.
