Cleaned-up star to host MTV awards with Russell

Vip would love to have been there if RUSSELL BRAND and BRITNEY SPEARS had met before they sorted their lives out... But the pair have cleaned up their acts (well, ish) - and managed to get on with some work when they did hook up.

Comic Russ, 33, and pop star Britney, 26, will present the MTV Video Music Awards in September.

Meanwhile, reformed Britney also showed she is juggling work and motherhood well. She treated sons Sean Preston, two, and Jayden James, one, to a day out near her Bel Air home in LA.

Brit lost custody of her children to ex-hubby KEVIN FEDERLINE, 30, after a court battle. But she is allowed to have them three times per week.

The singer has certainly turned things around. In February she was admitted to a psychiatric ward after she was apparently seen talking to trees.

That is a gossip site- not People.com

I don't believe it and hope its not true.lol Eh, to be honest, I don't know what I want from Britney at this years VMAs. I really just want a badass performance but that doesn't have to be a VMA performance. VMAs are dull now.

I don't believe this, and I don't really want it to be true.

All I want her to do is to turn up looking amazing, be a surprise award presenter and get a standing ovation. She can leave the performances until next year. :)

Copy that.

I hope it's just a rumour, otherwise it might put too much pressure. If she was a presenter that would be hot, but not hosting.
