Personally, I liked her videos from BO. Gimme More was different, daring. Piece of Me was a slap in the face to the paps, and Break the Ice was different, cool concept.

I doubt she will win anything, as usual. She is the Madonna of her time in terms of videos, and yet still no vma.

Personally, I liked her videos from BO. Gimme More was different, daring. Piece of Me was a slap in the face to the paps, and Break the Ice was different, cool concept.

If she wins, it's going to be only because she recently broke down and now is rising back up again. There is no way "Piece of Me" is going to win when videos like "Toxic" lost. MTV wants ratings, and you know giving Britney an award would make headlines go, "Britney receives MTV Award, promises for better future" etc.

The same can be said when she didn't win awards she should have won. Nominating her music but never giving her an award? Yea, they've been holding back on giving her well deserved awards so the headlines will read "Britney loses <insert award> to <inset rival>!". All for attention.

I think the nominations are, as well, based around publicity for VMA's and pity. I'm happy that she's there, and the videos are fun, but really not her best work/concepts.

Piece of Me was great because it was a clever spin on her situation at the time and I guess it's 'Video of the Year' worthy because of the issues it raised with one of the biggest celebrity stories. So I guess in that respect it should be there. But I also find it really hard to believe she hasn't won anything before, some of her other vids are just amazing.

You can only vote once so I'm guessing a lot of people liked the song, and video.

What Cubasterd said is true. Not to mention they could let her win to gain ratings, and they could make her lose to gain ratings/attention also. It goes both ways.
