Obama's coffers have been filling since Sarah Palin attacked him repeatedly in St. Paul last night.

An Obama aide confirms Drudge's report that Obama has raised about $8 million from more than 130,000 donors and is on pace to raise $10 million by the time McCain reaches the stage tonight.

UPDATE: Obama spokesman Bill Burton says, "Sarah Palin's attacks have rallied our supporters in ways we never expected. And we fully expect John McCain's attacks tonight to help us make our grass-roots organization even stronger."

I no longer donate to political campaigns except for making that checkmark on my taxreturns because campaigns are way to wasteful with the money. They are all rich anyway.

I see your point Venis, but since Obama isnt taking public financing, i think every dollar counts a little bit more for him.

I agree with Luis. I'd rather see my money go to the people who need it. Besides, the amount I give wouldn't sway many people, but can make a dent in some of the organizations I believe in. For instance, the size of my donation can buy a few boxes of eight-pennies (nails) for Habitat...

I tend to rather see my money go to my landlord :o

And they open with.... 9/11. Gee. What a surprise. "This enemy sworn to our destruction... freedom, the very soul of America... this we know. This is a war America will win. We remember bodies falling...we remember."

Man, this just turns my stomach.

I usually give to non-profits rather than campaigns, especially smaller organizations where I know my non-substantial donation can make a real difference, but I was so infuriated by Palin last night that Obama got my $.

Obama's campaign did raise the $10 million.

Palin speaks, Obama has record $10M day
Posted: 08:24 PM ET

(CNN) — Barack Obama’s campaign for president has raised $10 million since Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin spoke Wednesday night, the campaign announced, calling it a “one-day record.”

Palin, the governor of Alaska, launched harsh attacks on Obama, accusing him of being two-faced and a political lightweight with no significant legislative accomplishments.

The Republican Party announced earlier in the day it had raised $1 million in the wake of Palin’s speech.
