Letter About Palin Goes Viral
by Martin Kaste
All Things Considered, September 5, 2008 · This week in Wasilla, Alaska, a woman named Anne Kilkenny sent a letter to some college friends about her former mayor, Sarah Palin. By week's end, the letter was pinging around the country and Kilkenny's phone was ringing off the hook.

Taking a town of under 6,000 from zero debt to 22-million, while still raising taxes? My math says that's a debt of over $3,667 per resident.
It also, as the story says, was hardly done while spending responsibly.

Interesting. Alaska is one of the few states that doesn't have a state income tax. It also is the only state, as far as I can see, that doesn't have a state sales tax. Individual communities can set local sales taxes from 1% to 6%. I wonder what their property tax rate looks like.

Delaware also has no state sales tax, although I believe they do have an income tax.
Ironic, the two VP candidates come from those states. Should make for an interesting turn or two in the debate.

I hope he eats her alive.
I also hope she gets a voice coach so she could sound less annoying.

Now, Sparks, let's not open ourselves to charges of sexism. ;)

I actutally backspaced something earlier that would have sounded horribly sexist. It wasnt coming from a sexist place, but I knew i'd get trounced for it. lol
But her voice is insanely annoying. Hillary was smart enough to get a voice coach. and her voice started sounded less annoying ;)
i actually think all these people should get a voice coach, i think it'd be hard to speak that much daily without screwing up your throat.

Wouldn't that be "North-ism?"
That voice we know from the movie Fargo and Prairie Home Companion and maybe a little "Great White North?"
