Four years and eleven months after Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger was swept into office in a dramatic recall, the powerful and well-heeled correctional officers' union today will target Schwarzenegger for a recall.

The California Correctional Peace Officers Association will begin the process to recall the Republican governor, a spokesman said today, calling the 2003 recall "a mistake."

"In the history of bad governors, this is the worst governor we've ever had," said Lance Corcoran, a spokesman for the union. The union is collecting the 65 necessary valid signatures to serve Schwarzenegger a notice-of-intent-to-recall. "This is a man who is a poser. That's what he did, that's how he made his living, posing."

They are only now calling him a poser? What did they expect?

um, the man we took out was far worse.

and he isnt a poser, he was rightly elected and has been doing his job for the last 5 years. Whether or not people like what he did is another issue. But their arguments are rather poor.

I dont think this one will work.

he does need to stop screwing the educational system though.

I was under the impression the guy Arnold replaced was a real politician who was essentially hung with the energy and financial issues because of Enron... Which I would hang on higher authorites.

I was just under the impression he sat on his duff and did nothing during the entire thing.

Pete Wilson was no walk in the park either, you can thank him next time you see a lousey Californian driver.
