Anyone else notice not only is Palin not only not doing the media rounds, but as of yet, I don't think she's even done a solo appearance since she's been on the ticket.

Biden can speak without Obama present, and vice versa, but apparently McCain can't speak without McCain (and his staff?) by her side.

Cindy McCain just announced her in Fairfax, saying she's know her for a long time.

i guess a "long time" is a relative term.

Yep, no solo appearances and she still hasn't taken a question from an audience member at any rallies. What are they so afraid of?

This needs to be drilled into the American Public and I think if they keep this up the press will do so.

You dont want to piss the press off......if you dont speak to the press, well your going to piss them off.

I cant wait to see her answer questions.

Well, Palin is headed back to Alaska... Will be interesting to see: 1) If the media can catch her there and 2) What the numbers are like for McCain rallies without her.

Dave, I believe she has an interview with Charles Gibson set for while she's in Alaska.

Yes, but besides that... I'm expecting the gaggle will be there bsides Gibson, but much fewer McCain cronies.

I think it is outrageous that the McCain/Palin people will keep Palin away from the press unless they show "respect and deference." How arrogant. I've never heard of such a thing. To purposely keep a VP candidate from answering to the American voters? How is this even remotely acceptable? Where is the outrage?

Yes. Tommorow. On 9/11. On the day her son leaves for Iraq. In her hometown. How much do you want to bet that it's a soft peddle? How much do you want to bet that Charles Gibson had to agree to stick to the script to even get this interview? Did he have to sign a "respect & deference" pledge?

I'm not expecting much.

She landed in Alaska when I was getting to work. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see what she said.
