Why, Joe?

I thought the world loved Barry. He is the Messiah to the Godless. He is the hope of the world to the hopeless. Why would anyone "test" him? They should be celebrating with joy and happiness at the coming of the atheist Messiah, the Savior of the world, in their view.

Why the "test"? I just don't get it. Sounds like maybe Joe thinks barry isn't quite up to the job.

Biden: Obama Will be 'Tested' by World in First 6 Months of Administration

Opening an avenue for the McCain campaign to push its candidate's strengths, Joe Biden says an Obama administration would face an international challenge in its first six months.

Barack Obama will face an international crisis early in his presidency, Joe Biden warns, fueling Republican charges that the Democratic presidential candidate's own running mate admits Obama is a blank slate in the face of coming national security threats.

Speaking in Seattle on Sunday, Biden said he could guarantee that the world will want to find out if Obama is up to the job, which he assured voters he is.

"Mark my words. It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking," Biden said.

"Remember I said it standing here. if you don't remember anything else I said. Watch, we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy. And he's gonna have to make some really tough -- I don't know what the decision's gonna be, but I promise you it will occur. As a student of history and having served with seven presidents, I guarantee you it's gonna happen," Biden continued.

The world tests every president quickly... I took nine months for it to test Bush, and we've been living the conesequences of his inneptitude ever since.

I have much more faith in what Obama would do when tested than in what I had in Bush. For one thing, Obama won't make us stay the course alone. The world may test Obama, but unlike Bush, he's not going to shut it out when it does.

Or just maybe Sen. Biden was remembering the Cuban Missle Crisis in 1962. You're probalby too young, but I sure remember it. MacDill AFB was just across the Bay and we were practicing duck and cover drills in the classroom. We in Florida, as well as the rest of the nation, held our collective breath while Russia and America played "chicken" in Cuba. I'm sure Biden remembers and I'm sure Gen. Powell remembers.

If Sen. Obama is elected, perhaps some country will test him. Obama seems pretty cool and collected and he's one smart man. I have every confidence in his ability to handle an early presidency "crisis." So do Sen. Biden and Gen. Powell, as both said so.

I've read of a possible assassination of Obama shortly after he becomes elected. It's not surprising this would also be brought up in an international crisis. Though, if Biden can speak of it now, surely he either must know it's coming, or is participating in bringing it to happen.

There is going to be a pretty high risk of Obama being assassinated throughout his presidency, should he win, as there's already a great one now. Just look at all the hate-mongering towards him during the election process now.

Why in the world would you assume that? Anyone who has read history or been alive for the past 50 years might come to the same conclusion. I did by virtue of my own experience. Why must a comment without a detailed explanation immediately conjur up some great conspiracy?

That's obvious it will happen, but 6 months? I think more. It's the same as me saying, the world would be better off without Bush.

Because what is America without conspiracy theories? LOL.

Anyways, I agree with your post about what happened with Kennedy. I picture a similar scenario.
