View Full Version : The Left's hatred of working folks like 'Joe The Plummer' knows no bounds

If there's anyone the Left can't stand it's a hardworking ordinary "Joe" who has scrimped, saved, worked hard all his life to live the American Dream: To own his own business. Here's Joe The Plummer, hoping to buy his own plumming business but worried The One's Soviet-style confiscatory policies will ruin his dream. When he dares to confront The Messiah himself about it, the Left turns on him like the thugs they are. No one will be allowed to have individual success under The One's Soviet-style government. Everything will be done for the "greater good". Those that are successful on their own will be punished with taxes so the wealth can be "spread around" to those who have done nothing to earn it.

Somewhere Karl Marx is smiling...Communism has finally come to the USA!

The Left Declares War on Joe the Plumber

Hang him!

By Michelle Malkin

Six-term Sen. Joe Biden’s got some nerve going after citizen Joe the Plumber. But the entrenched politician from Delaware, who fancies himself the nation’s No. 1 Ordinary Joe, had no choice. Obama-Biden simply can’t tolerate an outspoken citizen successfully painting the Democratic ticket as socialist overlords. And so a dirty, desperate war against Joe Wurzelbacher is on.

The left’s political plumbers are attacking the messenger, rummaging through his personal life and predictably wielding the race card once again. It’s standard operating procedure for the Obama thug machine.

Wurzelbacher, in case you’ve been in hibernation, is the small-business man from Ohio who questioned Obama about his tax plan during a Toledo campaign swing last weekend. The revealing exchange was caught on tape and broadcast widely across the Internet and TV airwaves.

In response to Wurzelbacher’s question about why he should be “taxed more and more for fulfilling the American dream,“ Obama sermonized that he needed to “spread the wealth around” because “it’s good for everybody.”

John McCain flung that chilling Marxist mantra back in Obama’s face during Wednesday night’s presidential debate and repeatedly cited Joe the Plumber’s plight.

Obama squirmed. The dirt-diggers started Googling. And the next morning, six-term Sen. Biden launched the first salvo against the Ohio entrepreneur on NBC’s Today Show, challenging the veracity of his story: “I don’t have any Joe the Plumbers in my neighborhood that make $250,000 a year.”

Under an Obama-Biden administration, they’ll make sure no Joe the Plumbers ever earn such a salary. “It's good for everybody,” don’t you know?

It's funny, as the poll numbers widen, the pundits on TV are just laughing at the McCain/Palin spokespeople who are trying to explain the campaign's strategy in these last days. Every day it's something else -- Ayers, terrorist, Joe the plumber, Socialist. They have no message. It's just laughable.

Meanwhile on the right, Rep. Robin Hayes, a five-term Republican from North Carolina made this statement yesterday: "Liberals hate real Americans that work and achieve and believe in God."

He quickly backpedaled, no doubt thinking of Ms. Bachmann in Minn.

One quick comment on Robin Hayes.......his middle name is Cannon, he's the great grandson of the founder of Cannon Mills....Yes, thats Fieldcrest Cannon. The factory his great grandfather founded here in NC was in Hayes district, it was closed 5 or 6 years ago so that its jobs could be shipped over seas.

The amount of jobs lost because of the plant closure was over 7,000, the biggest single layoff in North Carolina history. You would think Mr. Hayes would be against free trade wouldnt you?

No, he was the DECIDING vote for CAFTA, and he's currently running adds here that says he's the right person to be bring jobs to his district!!

Hayes apparently first tried denying he ever said that... Then Keith Olberman played the tape.

That's the difference between Keith and Rush. Neither make any qualms about which way they lean. But Keith always has the research and proof to back things up. Rush just blows hot air and uses similarly-slanted sources as proof. Keith's viewers can trust him, while Rush relies on the stupidity of his listeners to get by.

Oh, and to the orginal post, if Joe was your regular guy, it would be one thing. He isn't, and the question remains how much crap has our plumber been wading about in while in the line of (unlicensed) duty? (pun intentionally left out of that last word).

Ooh and Rachel Maddow and Keith Olberman both pointed out that Joe the not-so Legal Plumber donated to McCain's campaign. Now where was the light bulb on THAT one?
