I went to a family reunion over the Labor Day weekend in September. My cousin's husband had been doing genealogy on the internet. He had tons of papers and printouts spread around a table. He said we share a common ancestor with Barack Hussein Obama's mother's father (i.e. his grandpa on his mother's side).

He said we are 11th cousins with The One.

You injected race by the words "white mother." How about simply saying you're related on his mother's side. I'm still not sure what "white" has to do with anything.
