Sometimes pent up sexual frustration, or frustration with one's sexual orientation causes much friction and agitation. How do we know they don't secretly adore each other. T.O. is acting quite jealous of jason whitten;)

Smart.
I actually like TO, in a way. He's very entertaining. When he was in the middle of his attempted destruction of the Eagles, there was a press conference outside his home, and his agent was the one taking questions. TO just stood there, trying to look stern, but all that was lost when someone asked Rosenhaus, "What have you done for you client, other than getting him fired from the Eagles?"
It started slowly, but he couldn't stop it. The grin went from ear to ear.

It's hilarious because Romo comes back, the Cowboys start winning as their defense starts playing much better(including last night's game), and Romo gets the credit. The Giants' offensive line played great and the Giants' offense does as well, but the last two games their offensive line has been pathetic and their offense has looked pathetic as well. The Patriots' offensive line can't protect Brady, he looks mediocre, and they lose the Super Bowl. Maybe one day the offensive line will get the credit they deserve for making an offense go. I understand this isn't even related to the topic, but I felt like commenting.

I agree with your observations on the O-line. The Eagles have had problems there pretty much all year, and they've struggled.

Actually I haven't been watching football too much except for some Giants games and I don't consider myself too knowledgeable. Thanks for the compliments though.

I live in New York so I read a lot from the media claiming that the loss of Burress is the reason for their slump. I think they're 2-2 without Burress but 0-2 since the offensive line has gone into a slump. It's basic common sense, but somehow few people in the media are acknowledging it. All of your great quarterbacks have generally had a very good offensive line. They also create holes for the running backs. Unless you have a Barry Sanders, that's generally very important.

Plaxico was a factor, but only if the offensive line gave Eli enough protection.

There's no doubt he was a factor, but I'd have to consider Jacobs just as much of a factor. I'd say offensive line is the biggest issue, followed by Jacobs, then Plaxico.
Who do people like for the Super Bowl? The Cowboys are being compared to last year's Giants, but they're not that great on the road so I don't think it will happen. If Osi comes back and they're healthy, I could see the Giants winning it next year, but not this year. A Manning vs. Manning Super Bowl is possible, but not likely. In the AFC, either the Steelers or Colts, and the Giants, Vikings, or Panthers in the NFC.

If Tony Romo played for any other team, people would acknowledge how bad he is. But because he plays for the Cowboys, everyone wants to proclaim him the next great quarterback.
He sucks, period.

I think Romo will win the Super Bowl at some point, but he's clearly shown he doesn't play well when the pressure comes. Will Phillips be fired? Will Owens come back next season? This Giants fan says thank you Eagles.

When Tampa was sill in the hunt, I was actually hoping the Eagles would win Sunday Claire. But they folded too, so I had slim hopes of a Cowboys win over the Eagles. I was hoping the collapse would come in the playoffs once they were in. I'd be lying if I said the Eagles don't scare me, and I'd rather see the Vikings again instead of the Eagles down the road.
Still, that was one of the most fun games ever. The Cowboys should be up for every award out there, especially best comedy nods. Romo as best comedy actor and T.O. as best actor, drama.
Romo is to football as what many people would say A-Rod is in baseball. A star, but he rolls up when he's in the clutch. I've said for a while now Romo can't win in a big game.

Romo win a Super Bowl? That's a laugh. Let him win a game that will get him to the playoffs first, or a playoff game. He's like how Casey described his '62 Mets: "This team finds new ways to lose a game every day." It's Romo first, then Phillips who should be out of a job in Dallas. He can use the time to nurse his pinkie.

Romo win a Super Bowl? That's a laugh.
Michael Jordan got swept to the Celtics back-to-back seasons and then was eliminated by the Pistons I think 3 straight years before he started winning. Payton Manning had the same reputation. He threw 5 interceptions in the first 2 games, but Indy's defense won those games. They then came back from behind vs. the Patriots and beat the Bears in the Super Bowl. Steve Young had the same reputation before dominating the Chargers and breaking records. I don't feel Romo is up to the caliber of those players, but all of those players at one point had a reputation for not getting it done in the big game before they finally did. I could see Romo winning one or two Super Bowls before his career is over.

But I do agree about the coach. A coach who hasn't won a playoff game and a quarterback who hasn't won a playoff game is a recipe for disaster. Shanahan would be a much better choice, but it looks like it won't happen.

Don't confuse the Bulls with Michael. The team got swept, not Jordan. Basketball is a different entity. A team may have one star player, but he's not the field general. Romo is, and he's found so many ways to stink up the joint it's incredible.
In those early playoffs, Jordan played strong. In '85-'86 in that sweep against the (still powerhouse) Celtics, they held him to just 43.7 points per game! He did his job, so again, don't compare the team's loss to his performance. Romo on the other hand cost his teams games. Down to last weekend. And Romo seems to get worse the more he plays in pressure, not better.
Same goes for Peyton: Six picks over his first two games. But this was the regular season, and he was a rookie. Romo was a four-year player in his first playoff game. He had 54 games, 26 starts under his belt by the time of his first playoff disaster. Again, no comparison.
