Maybe she is related to Susan.

**Whitney had a song back in the day called "My Name Is Not Susan"**

Why not "If You Seek Me"? Why Amy? Sounds the same..

That doesn't sound the same at all. It's missing the "ay" sound that you hear in "Amy." Plus, you can't sing the song like way you're suggesting because you're missing a syllable in chorus. Plus, it changes the message of the song (looking for Amy/fuuk me).

I don't hear it. And my mind has permanent residence in the gutter.

I'll keep trying..

If you seek Amy

If (F) You (U) See (C) kA (K) my (Me)

She's not saying "fuuck me," she's spelling out the letters of fuuk (F.U.C.K) and saying me when she sings, "if you seek Amy" so that the message is "fuuk me."

Get/hear it now?

Seriously yo, I was like "Who is Amy? Why is Britney looking for her? Why are all the boys and girls begging to look for her?"

It all makes perfect sense now...

^ Lol. Did you notice after each chorus a man (Max Martin) sings, "Love me, fuuk me." I love it. You can hear it best after the first chorus, then after you know what it sounds like you'll better be able to hear it over Britney's signing when he says in later times in the song.

Yeh I hear it now!!

But I still dont get why she's singing about a girl at a party, and trying to find her and wondering where she is?

But I still dont get why she's singing about a girl at a party, and trying to find her and wondering where she is?Lol, that's just 'cause they needed lyrics about anything at all so that they'd have a song, and also so the "hidden message" in the chorus would be well disguised amongst the lyrics, because the chorus fits well in the context of the entire song.

Yeah, it still does't justify her singing about Amy, it's still kinda weird in the verses but I guess you can take when she sings Amy as what people say about her, that they can't get her off of their brain, etc.
