To me, For the record is kinda a sequel to stages (the book/dvd britney had a few years back). It's a shame that documentary was a bit overlooked, as its a precursor to the events that happened after. Such a quiet, honest documentary fresh off a breakup and embarking on a 2nd leg of a tour. I like both documentaries as they are excellent records of two different points in Brit's life/career.

FTR FTW.

For The Record should be released on dvd with bonus footage and all the videos from "Circus". Pipe dream, i know. :)

I really enjoyed them both. I hope For The Record gets released on dvd too as well. The only thing I didnt like about For The Record was they made it seem like she was going to explain everything that happened during that crazy period in her life, but she mostly just talked about her life right NOW and how she feels NOW. It was still good though, I liked it.

I don't even know what Stages is.

FTR was billed as her explaining everything yet she only talked about the hair shaving, mistakes and Gimme More performance for 5 seconds each.

Still awesome, but :( Wanted her to explain what was behind her "I'd rather be sleeping" look @ Gimme More VMA, her pink wig, etc.

I have to say FTR. Very candid, honest and just a good behind the scenes look into her life. I still like Stages though too.
