College Volleyball

so i played volleyball all through high School but i never played club volleyball and i was pretty good i was caption of the varsity team but i'm only 5'3 do you think since i didnt play club and i'm short i could have a chance at making the college team?

your reflexes and your ability to "see" the ball better be on point. A lot of players play club to hone those skills and specialize ( ie setter, outside hitter, opposite ). I don't know you personally, so I don't know the quality of your high school team or how good you might be. For example being a captain from a rural high school team in Oklahoma means jack **** versus kids from Hawaii or California.

Your best bet would probably be playing libero. Work on some defensive and serving drills, and then decide from there whether or not you should try out for the team.

I don't know, if you're exceptionally good. Did your family take any video of you playing? My sister is an OH, has been on the varsity team for 3 years, and is in club and the recruiters told her that she should have a highlight video to send out.

if you are very good, then why not? height shouldn't be an issue. after all, it's not just all about who's taller.
