How could the Eagles let Brian Dawkins go? Future Hall of Famer, 13 years of bleeding for this team, and they can't even find enough money to keep him around for another year or two?
Damn $40 million under the cap, and they insult the heart and soul of the team. :redmad:
I can't wait until Denver comes into town this fall, and Dawkins plants McNabb in the turf. The crowd will rise and cheer!
Cheap, stupid bastards. :redmad:

Presuming McNabb is in fact there still too.
I was saying when the 'Skins signed Haynesworth Friday that he went to the one team in the division that he wouldn't make a difference on, because under Snyder they suck. With this shocking move, maybe now the Eagles fit into that category too.

My daughter saw a car today that had an Eagles logo in a red circle with a line through it, and underneath they had written "Go Broncos!"
They'll keep Donovan. The Denver game will be the first sellout, even before Dallas. And they WILL cheer Dawk for every hit, especially if he gets to Donovan.

I don't follow the Eagles closely enough so maybe I'm ignorant here. Do you really think he'll make the Hall of Fame?

Absolutely. He essentially changed the way the safety position is played, paving the way for guys like Polamalu (sp?) and others who are now considered dominant.
Some analysts consider him among the best free safeties ever. He set some amazing record in 2002 as the first player ever to record a sack, an interception, a forced fumble, and a touchdown reception in one game. I don't know if that's been done again since then, but I doubt it.
