73% Trust Judgment of People More Than Politicians

Friday, February 27, 2009

When it comes to important national issues, 73% of adults nationwide trust the judgment of the American people more than that of America’s political leaders.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that just 13% place more trust in the judgment of the politicians.

Twenty percent (20%) of Democrats trust America’s political leaders more than the American people, the highest level of support for the politicians found among any measured demographic group. But 63% of Democrats trust the general public more.

Among Republicans, 83% trust people more than politicians as do 76% of those not affiliated with either major party.

73% of people obviously dont understand that we elect the politicians, and thereby making ourselves untrustworthy if we arent trusting the politicians.

So considering a majority of Americans chose Obama in November, and a majority support his economic plan, that poll makes sense.

yes American trasted Obama and they choose him in November. But they voted not for politic. Obama is not a reall politic yeat. He is new in this politics game and what he sold American nation is a dream of what kind of politic they want to see in White House. If 4 years later Americans would still vote for Obama, they would vote for politic. But now in the beginging they voted for the dream and I hope this dream will not faid 4 years later.

Obama is not "new" to politics. He has held an elected position for the past twelve years.

They did indeed vote for his politics, in most cases. I did. Considering things like McCain's lack of an economic plan (and a backfiring stunt of trying to call of the debate to "single-handedly" save the day) helped people decide, they sure did vote for the politics.
