Now that Bush & Cheney are gone and the Dems have total control over the government the Dems need a new boogey man to blame all their problems on. Enter Rush Limbaugh, who isn't even a politician, he's an entertainer.

Only a moron would think Limbaugh has any control over the GOP... LOL

Just 11% of Republicans Say Limbaugh Is Their Party’s Leader

Wednesday, March 04, 2009

Despite efforts by the Obama political team and its surrogates to link Rush Limbaugh to the Republican Party, just 11% of GOP voters say the conservative radio commentator is the party’s leader.

Eighty-one percent (81%) of Republican voters disagree and 8% are undecided in a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey.

Democrats, however, are closely divided-- 44% say Limbaugh is the Republican leader and 41% don’t believe it. Among voters not affiliated with either of the major national parties, 27% say Limbaugh is the Republicans’ leader, while 58% say he is not and 15% are undecided.

Rasmussen Reports is testing public reaction to a series of quotes made by newsmakers recently. For this topic, respondents were asked if they agreed or disagreed with the statement, “Rush Limbaugh is the leader of the Republican Party. He says jump, and they say how high.”

Unfortunately, most of the folks that think he's in charge happen to work on the GOP side of the House of Representative and the GOP side of the Senate.

And it's also worth noting that this is another example of Rasmussen staging a strangely-worded question to elicit the response they desire. In this case, the question polled was "Agree or Disagree: Rush Limbaugh is the leader of the Republican Party. He says jump, and they say how high."

Regis what do you call it when the "leader" of the republican party apologizes to Rush because he said something bad about him?

Rush was the keynote speaker at CPAC.

He's now inviting Obama on his show to debate him.

Rush is jockeying to be the head of the GOP, and because he has enough knuckle heads who listen to his show, the head of the GOP have to apologize to him for what they say.

It just shows how weak the GOP is when a radio host seems to have most of the control of the conservative base.

He's powerful enough that the GOP head had to apologize to him... Game, set, match.

And for someothat that doesn't matter Reg, you sure spend a lot of time posting his dribble, let alone listening to it.

Rush isn't the leader of the party.

He just leads their thoughts. :]

He's more like a Mafia boss. As long as they're kissing his ring and showing him what he feels is the proper respect, he won't sabotage their re-election campaigns.

I guess Reg is also at this point admitting "Operation Chaos" was total bull?

I lost all respect for Republicans when the freakin head of the party bowed to him and dared to apologize to him. They are a pathetic bunch of losers and until they get their berries back they shouldn't win anymore elections.
