It has been confirmed that 'Radar' will be the next single from 'Circus'!:

From Digital Spy:
Britney Spears has confirmed that 'Radar' will be the fourth single lifted from her Circus album.

The 27-year-old, currently on the North American leg of her world tour, posted the news on her official website, but no official release date has yet been confirmed.

The song, which was originally included on Spears's Blackout album, was initially scheduled for release last year but later scrapped in favour of new material from her sixth studio record.

Despite not being officially released, 'Radar' has already charted in a number of different territories through airplay and digital downloads. It reached number eight in the Swedish singles chart and appeared on several US Billboard component charts.

Spears sparked controversy with her recent single 'If U Seek Amy', with some radio stations deeming it too offensive to broadcast.

Not sure about this being a release, especially since most fans have known the song for a while through 'Blackout'. Wouldve been better with 'Unusual You' or 'Out From Under'. Something a bit different.

I think it makes sense. Aside from the tour, Britney hasn't really done much promo at all for 'Circus'. That tour is her way only way of promoting future singles, so I can understand why JIVE chose Radar.

Remember when they said they were adding a new song to Circus tour , which never happened? They were probably going to choose a different third single but it would've taken a lot of work for everyone to learn/create the new choreography and stage positions. (unless they were adding Mannequin ).

I don't mind Radar being released but I hope it gets an expensive video budget. But I read Larrys plot for the video and it sounds low budget.lol

Circus is a mix of songs and it doesn't really have a set sound. They're good but it sounds like they threw every good song they recorded this era into that album. I guess its better than leaving out good songs like they did with Blackout.

Eh,, im not really happy with this single choice. I would have liked it back in the Blackout era when I loved the song but im so sick of it now. Maybe there will be a good video.

What is the video treatment? I haven't read anything yet.

I agree that Circus doesn't have a set sound. It's sort of a mash of sounds from electro to hip-hop influenced to straight up bubblegum pop. It's a shame because Blackout was so solid and well received (musically) despite all of Britney's issues in 2007-08.

Britney Spears' manager Larry Rudolph just confirmed some really exciting news--she's going to be shooting the video for "Radar" sometime next week in Chelsea, London.

Larry says, "The theme is her and her girlfriends are going to be looking all around London trying to find a boy who she met in a club. Every time they think they have him its someone else. She will be behind the camera as much as possible, She wants to make sure it's exactly right."

Not happy she picked a song from BO but whatever, hopefully the video is hot and the song does well.

Aside from "Unusual You" I don't think theres any other song on "Circus" that I would want to be released as a single before "Radar".

Either way, its going to be another good memorable pop classic to add to her collection.

It should've been released as a single from Blackout, but I would've liked "Freakshow", "Hot as Ice" and "Perfect Lover" to be before it.:music:

There are plenty of songs on Circus she should have chosen over Radar. Good material too. I don't get it. Kill the Lights, Unusual You, Out From Under, Mannequin....I hope we at least get another single from the album before it's said and done.

I usually refuse to think of Radar as part of the Circus album tbh. They've obviously always wanted to release it for it to be brought over from Blackout & I expected it to be the 4th single since it's the only other one she performs on tour but I still would have preferred something else.
