YES!!!! KRIS ALLEN FREAKIN' WON!!!! I CALLED IT, PEOPLE!!!! Adam was great, he has an amazing voice, but he needed to tone it down a few notches. Kris deserved to win!!! :D :D :D

Meh, I'm an Adam fan all the way around. He'll be great no matter what he does. He'll get signed and be successful like Daughtry.

Exactly. They're both good and I would have been equally excited no matter who won, but for some reason in my gut I knew Kris would win.

Now Adam can get millions of offers to headline on Broadway that he wouldn't have been able to accept if he was signed with 19 Entertainment. :D

The local news here was watching the AI finale with a family of Adam fans. Needless to say, they were pretty upset. Only one of them had anything positive to say, and all that she said was "I liked Kris too" or something like that. They went back to show their initial reaction to hearing Kris' name and every one of them shouted "NO!!!" and started crying and s**t.

I was like "really, people? because he can't call himself the 'American Idol'? He'll get signed anyway, stop crying and be happy for Kris. He's talented, too."

My mom was speechless. I sent her a text message that said "YES!!!!" and her reply was "pack your bags". She said she's "disappointed". I think she's being unfair to Kris, she said she would have been less disappointed if he lost to Danny. I actually feel the opposite -- Danny was starting to feel like Taylor Hicks with a better voice, better haircut, and better dance moves.

I personally hated how the entire entertainment world was calling Adam the winner weeks before the finale even aired. I really wanted to smack Katy Perry too for performing on the show wearing Adam on her cape..thing. He also was all over magazine covers W/O Kris or any other AI finalists for that matter. People were giving him "winner" press before he actually won.

I don't dislike Adam, but personally, he didnt ever need Idol. Idol's supposed to be for someone to get their foot in the door and then get shoved through it (lol). Adam has been on Broadway for years and even understudied for Wicked for goodness sake.

The underdog won and that's awesome!

and oh I know my friend and I were sooo suprised Kris won! we couldn't believe it! I sat there in shock for a few minutes then we texted eachother freaking out haha it was great

Danny was good too, but Kris was def my favorite from this season.

I didn't like Taylor Hicks. My favorites from Season 5 were Jordin Sparks and Chris Daughtry.

My all time favorite idol is Chris Richardson from Season 6. Even though he didn't win he was amazing and really hot too! As soon as I saw his audition I knew he was going to make it far and he did. It was awesome! When I saw the Idol concert that year I died when Chris came out lol
